Netflix has FINALLY dropped the trailer for the long-awaited third instalment of Bridgerton, and, dear reader, it looks like we’re in for a riveting ride.

Watch it below:

The new instalment will be released in two parts, with the first half launching on Netflix on 16 May and the second on 13 June.

The trailer set our hearts racing, with Colin saying to Penelope: "If a husband is what you seek, then let me help you."

Oooh!

This time round, we’re focusing on Penelope and Colin’s relationship, with a brief synopsis teasing: “Lady Whistledown's silence is over, and it would seem she is revealing the Ton's most speculated secret yet.

Another part of the trailer sees Colin ask his mother, Viscountess Violet Bridgerton, "Mother, do you believe the best foundation for love is friendship?"

She replies: "It is rare, but you must follow your heart."

Filming started back in July, bringing in three newcomers: Harry Dankworth (James Phoon), Lord Debling (Sam Phillips) and Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis).

Then, of course, we’ve got returning favourites like Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Bridgerton (Simone Ashley).

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope - and, of course. the infamous Lady Whistledown - previously revealed what viewers can expect from the next series, as we focus on her character’s relationship with Colin (Luke Newton).

Speaking about what's to come at Netflix’s FYSEE Space way back in 2022, Coughlan said: “Like Lady Whistledown, I have been keeping a secret for quite some time and I can confirm to you all that Season 3 is Colin and Penelope’s love story.

“I have kept that secret since two weeks into Season 2. This is the first time I am saying it here.”

In a recent interview with Tyla, the actor also admitted she found the prospect of stepping centre stage with her very own romantic storyline ‘terrifying’.

Coughlan explained the season sees Penelope 'get to do the romance', which she said 'was terrifying' at first.

However, she quickly noted she 'loved it', telling us she had an 'amazing time'.

The star noted her character is one she thinks 'a lot of people will relate to', explaining: "I think she's someone who feels invisible and I think anyone that's ever felt like that is going to really connect to the story."

She teased the third season is 'really funny', while also being 'very action-packed', adding that there's even a 'cliffhanger midway' too. "So, there's two parts, and I'm very excited."

Part one of Bridgerton season three launches on Netflix on 16 May, followed by part two on 13 June.
