Viewers hail ‘absolutely amazing’ crime drama that you can ‘binge in two days’

This gripping ITV drama has been praised by critics and viewers alike

If there's one thing I'm a sucker for, it's a seriously gripping drama.

There's no better way to get lost in time than to let a great storyline take you on a journey from the comfort of your own sofa.

You know the ones - by the time it ends it feels like you've only been watching it for two minutes.

We've been spoiled with the likes of Line of Duty, Unforgotten and Killing Eve in recent years.

But it's never quite enough to quell our collective hunger and we're always on the lookout for what to dig into next.

The Twelve has a stellar cast.

Well, look no further than The Twelve for your next binge-watch.

The Australian drama follows the trial of Kate Lawson, played by Kate Mulvany, who finds herself in court to face a serious allegation - the murder of her niece, Claire Spears.

However, the trial soon becomes more than Claire's death as the twelve jurors become intertwined themselves, as their lives 'full of fractured dreams, shameful secrets, hope, fears, personal trauma and prejudice' come to the surface.

Based on the Belgium drama of the same name, The Twelve has a stellar cast, including Sam Neill of Peaky Blinders and Jurassic Park fame.

Originally released in 2022 in Australia, the drama having been hailed as 'gripping' by critics, is continuing to impress and thrill viewers, having been added to ITVX last year, and landing on terrestrial TV tomorrow on ITV.

If audience reaction and critics are anything to go by - you'll love it.

And it's just as well, in that case, that it's already been renewed for a second season.

With viewers having binged the lot already thanks to its availability on ITVX, they have already took to social media to pile on the praise.

Jurassic Park's Sam Neill stars in the drama.

One person wrote on X: "Excellent TV programme!"

A second added: "I've just finished it and absolutely loved it. Brilliant writing, brilliant performances. Congratulations all round!"

A third added: "It it is sensational. Loved it."

Meanwhile a fourth said they'd 'binged it all in 2 days', calling it 'amazing'.

They also replied to Neill's tweet about the show's arrival on ITV, writing: "You sir, of course, fantastic, as usual."

A fifth said: "Got really into this new Drama series on itvx called The Twelve this morning so think I'll spend the night watching more of it."

Your next night in is sorted!
