How much Tulisa was paid for I’m A Celeb stint after becoming third campmate to leave jungle

The N-Dubz singer was eliminated from ITV's hit jungle series last night

Last night, ITV viewers were blown away to hear that I'm A Celeb favourite Tulisa Contostavlos had been voted as the third contestant to leave the jungle.

Now, with the N-Dubz musician having gotten the chop less than 2.5 weeks after the show kicked off, many fans of the show have been left wondering whether her unexpectedly early departure might have an impact on how much Tulisa will get paid for the gig.

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore was the first campmate to be evicted from the series, saying her goodbyes on Saturday night.

She was closely followed by controversial Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough, who caused quite a stir earlier on in the series after failing to complete a single Bushtucker Trial.

Despite starting the series as one of the fan-favourites, former X Factor judge Tulisa was third to be voted off - though her departure sparked widespread outrage amongst many fans, some of whom were adamant that the results were a farce.

"Tulisa was one of the strongest characters in the jungle this year," one hit out on social media after Ant and Dec broke the news. "There are so many big personalities in there and I feel like we didn't get to see her shine. Such a shame".

And another raged on X: "WHO THE ACTUAL F**K VOTED FOR TULISA".

The show's presenters seemed equally as blindsided by the public vote, admitting during an appearance on I'm A Celeb: Unpacked that they were 'really shocked' after being told by producers.

"Who saw that coming? Not me!" Ant initially joked, before Dec went on to explain: "It's so hard to call it this year. There's people at home going I like them all, I don't know who to vote for, I'll vote for this person tonight."

As we say, as well as leaving some fans grieving, news of Tulisa's departure has caused some to wonder how much the musician actually got paid for her appearance Down Under, and whether her premature exit impacts her pay check at all.

Though no definite figure has been confirmed by ITV, OK! Magazine claimed last month that the 34-year-old would receive a 'significant amount of cash' for a stint in the jungle.

The publication spoke to PR guru Riley Gardiner, who estimated that Tulisa could be getting paid something between £150,000 and £200,000, 'considering her music career and history as an X Factor judge'.

He added: "With N-Dubz back in the spotlight, Tulisa has definitely reconnected with her fanbase, and she’d bring a bit of edge to the show. People love a comeback story, and her appearance would be a major draw for viewers with a soft spot for 2000s pop culture."

It is believed that the highest earning campmate in IAC history is controversial Reform Party politician Nigel Farage, who took part in last year's series and surprised viewers by coming in third, supposedly having been paid £1.5 million.

Also amongst the show's highest earners are Deal Or No Deal legend Noel Edmonds, who was said to have bagged £600,000 for his 2018 appearance, and The Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner, who reportedly walked away with £500,000.

Tyla contacted ITV over Gardiner's comments.
