Home Alone fans have been left seriously shocked after discovering what the actor who played Marv is up to now.

Marv Murchins, played by Daniel Stern, 67, was one half of the robbing duo 'The Wet Bandits' - which also included Harry Lime portrayed by Joe Pesci - from the beloved film franchise which first hit our screens back in 1990.

Alongside Stern and Pesci starred baby-faced Macaulay Culkin who took on the role of eight-year-old Kevin McCallister who is accidentally left behind when his family left for France during the festive period.

And, as we all know by now, he puts up a fight like no other.

Now, while Home Alone is undoubtedly a cult classic with many of us able to recite entire scenes off by heart - it's clear way less of us know where the film's core actors are today some three decades on.

Interestingly, Stern stepped away from the spotlight and is now embracing country life, living on a farm as a cattle rancher and sculptor.

Opening up about his change in career on his art website, he wrote: "When I was a kid, I was a terrible student but I excelled in all things artistic - theatre, choir, band, woodshed, metal shop, ceramics, and sculpture.

"I dropped out of high school when I was seventeen and moved to New York to become an actor. I got married and was a father by the time I was 23, and obviously had to just focus on my show business career."

Acknowledging he 'did a lot of great movies', Stern shared that there simply came a point where he missed being away from his family.

"I decided to stop travelling so much, stay home and focus on my family and my other artistic passions," he added. "The result of that decision is that I have a wonderful family life and this body of work."

Stern regularly updates fans about his life on the farm on social media, taking to TikTok earlier this week to share his citrus harvest featuring a bunch of lemons and tangerines to make juice out of for his friends and family.

And it's clear Home Alone fans found the update beyond wholesome and heartwarming.

One TikTok user joked: "I'm glad Marv changed career paths."

A second gushed: "What I love the most is seeing famous people doing normal people stuff."

"MARV! What the hell are you doing on a tangerine farm? (in my best Harry voice)," chirped a third, while a fourth echoed: "Yes Daniel Stern at Christmas juicing on a farm. Marv is a farmer this is the best thing on my FYP right now!"

A fifth quipped: "How do we know they're your tangerines, and they're not stolen? Thanks for all the laughs every Christmas!"

Another beamed: "THE Daniel Stern on my fyp?! Just before Christmas?! YES!!"

And a final TikTok user added: "This is exactly how life should be."
