Holly Willoughby left heartbroken after family death

Holly Willoughby took to Instagram to react to the sad news.

Holly Willoughby has been left heartbroken after a family member passed away recently.

The This Morning star took to Instagram yesterday to respond to the announcement of her uncle's passing.

Her sister Kelly, who is the managing director of Holly's brand, Wylde Moon, shared a picture of their uncle Ray, who has recently died.

In the post, she wrote: “Sleep deep Uncle Ray.

“We are heartbroken to say goodbye so soon.

“Thank you for all the love and the laughs.

“The kids will forever remember you turning up, taking your hat off, and watching with glee as packets of Haribo dropped to the floor.

“We will miss you so much.”

And Holly simply left a heartbroken emoji underneath the heartfelt post paying tribute to their uncle.

And her ITV co-workers were quick to show their support to the Willoughby family in the comments.

Friend of the family, Nicole Appleton, commented: “So sorry darling sending love xx”

And This Morning chef, Clodagh McKenna, said: “Sending so much love to all your family.

“May he rest in peace."

Tamzin Outhwaite also shared her condolences, saying: “So sorry Kelly, sending you all love and light.”

While other commenters also sent their condolences to the family, with one writing: "So sorry Kelly."

"So sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love." another said.

"Thinking of you all and sending love. X" a third said.

Recently, the TV presenter made an accidental risqué confession on an episode of This Morning, leaving her mortified.

Hosting ITV’s This Morning with Ben Shephard, they were chatting to journalist Matthew Wright and Vanessa Feltz about babies.

In the UK, 26 September is National Baby Day as more babies are born on average on this date than any other day of the year.

And it doesn’t take too much of a fool to work out why.

This rise in births is typically due to parents getting more intimate over the Christmas and New Year period.

The TV star shares three children with her husband Dan Baldwin: Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, eight.

Matthew began discussing the baby topic as he said: “You have the combination of Christmas and the cold. My dad used to say the best thing you could do in the winter was cuddle up but you always get more babies in the autumn.”

Holly then added: “It’s actually Chester’s birthday on Friday,” as the group burst into laughter.

Ben joked: “It struck you as we were talking about this didn’t it?”

The star even quipped: “The heating hadn’t gone on that week.”
