Where do we sign up?!

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Sofia Wylie has described the upcoming fourth season - which will include some OG cast members from the films - as 'meta' and 'crazy'.

The hit high school comedy was renewed for a fourth season in May and production has officially begun in Salt Lake City.

After Corbin Bleu had a recurring role in season three, which took place at Camp Shallow Lake, a bunch of familiar faces have been confirmed to come back.

Sofia Wylie has teased the upcoming fourth season of High School Musical.

This includes the likes of Corbin, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed and Kaycee Stroh.

The new season will see the new generation of Wildcats return to East High where they prepare to stage a production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Their plans are thrown into disarray when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has finally decided to make the hotly anticipated High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie on location at East High.

The original cast members will play themselves as they resurrect their High School Musical characters for the reunion film.

Sofia Wylie, who portrays Gina, spoke to Tyla to tease the upcoming season.

“We're about halfway through [filming] and the season is so meta, like all the seasons have been," she gushed. "But right now we're, doing a production of High School Musical 3 within the show, as well as production of High School Musical 4: the movie. And so we have a lot of OG members of the High School Musical cast.

Sofia Wylie stars as Agatha.

“That's been really exciting to work with a lot of amazing actors who I've grown up watching."

Beyond the return of the East High alums we know and love, Gina, Ricky (Joshua Bassett), E.J. (Matt Cornett), Big Red (Larry Saperstein), Ashlyn (Julia Lester), Kourtney (Dara Reneé) and Seb (Joe Serafini) are all going through a lot of changes, especially after the departure of Nini (Olivia Rodrigo).

Sofia added: “There's just a lot of growth happening right now, a lot of the characters are entering their senior year. Things are changing and people are transitioning into young adults that they're becoming.

“It's a it's a really, really crazy season and I think people are going to enjoy it - all the new characters that we have, and all of the relationships that are shifting.”

Sofia was busy promoting her new film The School for Good and Evil alongside her co-star Sophia Anne Caruso.

The Netflix film follows Agatha (Sofia Wylie) and Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) as they’re literally snatched form their village of Gavaldon to the place where all fairytales begin – the school for Good and Evil.

Sophie is dropped into the school for Evil, led by the glamourous and fierce Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), and Agatha sent to the school for Good, overseen by the sweet-natured Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington).

The cast filmed the movie in Northern Ireland which the pair had fun exploring when off-set.

“I went to Giants Causeway and I did some fun stuff like that. But yeah, it was nice. The people are wonderful and so kind and see. So I had a really good time shooting in Belfast,” Sophia told Tyla.

“We were kind of on the outskirts of Belfast because the hotel we were in, was just right on the edge,” Sofia added.

“So during the weekends, when we wouldn't be filming, a lot of us would go into Belfast and go to the botanical gardens and shop and it was really, really nice. It was a wonderful time.”

The School for Good and Evil is available to watch on Netflix now.
