TV thriller fans are still raving about an 'outstanding' crime drama that was released on Netflix in October 2023.

If you have a telly-shaped hole that needs filling over the weekend, these 40 minute episodes are something you can definitely sink your teeth into.

The binge-worthy series was directed by Carlos Villegas Rosales and follows the story of Brenda Ray, played by Camila Valero.

Valero's big break was in the 2018 comedy movie Perfect Strangers. Since then she has mainly starred in Mexican TV shows.

Her character in this drama plays a big-time social media influencer who was abandoned at birth and left to fend for herself.

Within the intense 18 episodes that are set in Mexico, Brenda is fuelled by the need for revenge and invades the lives of four women in order to find out the truth about her birth.

Instead of going down the simple route of taking a DNA test, she plays mind games with the women in hope to find her biological mother.

If you are wondering what the Netflix series in question is, it is called Pact of Silence.

It has an impressive audience score of 71 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and fans have even been staying up all night to watch it.

Critics have spoken highly of the show, with Graeme Blundell, from The Australian, saying on Rotten Tomatoes: "It is a compelling over-the-top revenge tale in the style of a telenovela and it is made with the same kind of high end cinematic style and convulsive narrative spinning."

The addictive storyline was written by José Vicente Spataro and the other main characters in the show are played by Adriana Louvier, Marimar Vega and singer Litzy.

And another added: "The show Pact of Silence on Netflix has me staying up every night late as hell to binge watch, it’s soooo good but I’m sooo tired."
