Netflix viewers obsessed with 'amazing' new series that they're staying up all night to watch

The festive period is officially underway and for telly-lovers, that only means one thing: the TV guide is FULL TO THE BRIM of Christmas listing.

Cringe-worthy winter rom-coms, the 'Christmas special's of everything from Doctor Who to The Masked Singer, Mary Berry's festive baking shows on repeat. You almost can't escape the tinsel-covered festivities!

But thankfully, Netflix have just dropped a binge-worthy new batch of non-Christmas content for those who just can't just get into the holiday spirit this year.

If a romantic/drama/comedy is more up your street - but you can't stand another Christmas based movie - then the streaming service has the solution for you.

There's a brand new teen, coming-of-age drama series that landed on the streaming service last week (7 December) and quickly set tongues wagging.

The 10-part show follows the lives of recently orphaned Manhattan teen Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriquez) who relocates to rural Colorado to live with the Walter family, who have seven sons.

We are, of course, talking about My Life with the Walter Boys, which - despite only having received 43% from Rotten Tomatoes has sent rom-com fans all over the world wild.

The Netflix rom-com has sent fans wild.

"Ok I just finished watching my life with the Walter boys for the first time and I really enjoyed that show it was cute, a fun watch, I loved all the characters and thought it was amazing plus (I am team cole)", one viewer wrote on Twitter this week.

A second went on: "My life with The Walter Boys was amazing!!! I got to get the book and I hope we have a S2"

"If you haven’t seen My Life With The Walter Boys on netflix, you definitely need to watch! It was a good one that I just couldn’t bring myself to look away from," a third went on.

"I wish there was a tiny bit more drama but overall loved!"

'My Life With The Walter Boys' has gone down a hit with viewers.

If you're not a fan of a rom-com, however - but you don't fancy a festive one - last Thursday (7 November) Netflix also released the anticipated new psychological thriller Leave The World Behind, which stars star Julia Roberts and already left fans feeling "disturbed to the core".

For those with a love of British crime-dramas, a brand new series starring Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley based on Harlen Coben's chilling novel Fool Me Once will be landing in the coming weeks.

And for fans of period dramas, the second-half of the final ever series of The Crown will land on our screens on 14 December, and for those who can't get enough of tear-jerking historical series, All The Light We Cannot See has already received huge praise from viewers.

Hope this helps!
