Taylor Swift fans think one of her VMA outfits is a huge hint about her next move
Swifties have taken to social media to talk about what her MTV Video Music Awards outfit could have meant
Now that the excitement from the VMAs is starting to die down, people are now realising that Taylor Swift might have been dropping some subtle hints with her fashion choice - and fans are, of course, losing it.
It was only last night that Swift won seven awards at MTV's Video Music Awards, becoming the most decorated solo-artist in history with her 30 VMA awards.
While the night alone was a great moment in history for her, fans speculate that she used the high-profile event to show off a little hint with eagle-eyed fans.
Fans have theorised online that the songstress used her two outfits - one which was a UFO inspired jacket and dress combination, and the other which she was wearing for the event: a sparkly UFO inspired mini dress.

Both outfits seemed to be very similar tapestry prints, showing a UFO in a rural landscape with its beam to the ground.
While it might seem like it’s just something she and her stylists coordinated that day, her fans have a different theory.
As loads of other people were busy bopping to the many hits that were sung that night, others were jotting down notes about Swift's fashion choices and we can't blame them.
With the way the singer went on to drop a two in one album without telling a soul speaks volumes.
Now, with how she's chosen to dress, there's no way it's a coincidence, and her fans think the same way.
They actually think it’s her telling everyone what her next single is going to be - 'Down Bad'.
People on X are convinced it’s her UFO-inspired hit that’s going to be released as a single.
One person wrote: “Taylor Swift wore two outfits with spaceships today, same aesthetic as ‘Down Bad’ on The Eras Tour.”
Someone else said: “Do we all agree Taylor Swift is teasing ‘Down Bad’ as the next single and video off #TTPD with her second outfit at the #VMAs or is it just me?”
And another said: “Down Bad is next single.”
Someone else noticed her jacket: “I'm so sorry she has a custom jacket with this utopian UFO theme too? congrats down bad for being the first sci-fi taylor swift music video.”
Finally, a fan declared: “Down Bad Short Film directed by Taylor Swift coming soon.”
Essentially, the song 'Down Bad' from Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department describes the heartache of falling in love with an extra-terrestrial being who beams her up into space, only to abandon her where he left her.
Then, all that’s left to do is to wish that he’d come back and do it all again.
It’s quite a sad song, with UFOs and aliens perhaps representing a person who seems otherworldly, and is placed on a pedestal of love, only to treat you like every other person.
Some of the lyrics are thought to be about her short-lived fling with The 1975’s frontman Matty Healy, but it has yet to be confirmed.

Because of how fleeting their relationship was, and Healy’s known controversies, rock and roll lifestyle and extraverted and philosophical outlook, it could have been about their romance.
But, who knows for sure?
