The White House just posted a video montage amidst the ongoing conflict in Iran, and it's left people very confused.

The post in question comes nearly a week after the US and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran on Saturday (28 February), which set off retaliatory strikes across the region.

Taking to social media earlier today (6 March), the official White House X account shared a video compilation using several clips from various Hollywood films and TV shows, including footage of Christopher Reeve’s Superman declaring 'Truth, Justice and the American Way'.

The video celebrated the US and Israel’s recent bombings in Iran with a supercut of the drone footage, edited together with famous lines and moments from Marvel, DC, anime, cult cinema classics and modern action franchises.

It featured: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark designing the Iron Man suit while speaking with JARVIS, Russell Crowe in Gladiator, Mel Gibson in Braveheart, Tom Cruise in Top Gun, Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad and Bob Odenkirk in Better Call Saul.

Other references included: Keanu Reeves in John Wick, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren from Disney’s Star Wars, Transformers footage, Deadpool, Mortal Kombat, Halo and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Famous film lines include 'strength and honour', 'what will you do without freedom', 'you can't conceive of what I'm capable of', 'finishing this fight', 'I am the danger', 'finish him', 'now end this', and the montage ends with the quote 'flawless victory'.

The 42-second clip, which has already amassed over 9 views at the time of writing, was captioned 'JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY' alongside a United States flag and a fire emoji.

After catching light of the post, many rushed in to share their thoughts with one X user writing: "Imagine explaining this country to the Founding Fathers."

"Holy sh*t what timeline is this," lamented another.

And a third chimed in: "I need to know the millennial running this account."

The White House has previously posted a Superman-themed meme of Trump when the new Superman movie released, captioning the post of Trump's face edited onto the action character's body: "THE SYMBOL OF HOPE. TRUTH. JUSTICE. THE AMERICAN WAY. SUPERMAN TRUMP."

Trump has suggested the conflict in Iran could last four to five weeks, with his administration pledging to do 'whatever it takes'.

The strikes have been framed as necessary to dismantle Iran’s nuclear programme, cripple its navy, block any path to a nuclear weapon, and stop the regime from directing armed groups beyond its borders.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Tyla: "Under the decisive leadership of President Trump, America’s heroic warfighters are meeting or surpassing all of their goals under Operation Epic Fury.

"The legacy media wants us to apologise for highlighting the United States Military’s incredible success, but the White House will continue showcasing the many examples of Iran’s ballistic missiles, production facilities, and dreams of owning a nuclear weapon being destroyed in real time."
