Concerns have been raised over the wellbeing of Sir Rod Stewart.
The British singer unexpectedly announced to fans over the weekend that two of his upcoming concert dates had been cancelled.
Stewart, 81, had been scheduled to play two shows as part of the conclusion of his recent Las Vegas residency.
The celebration promised to 'treat ticket buyers to rollicking sets of his greatest hits, proving that "Rod the Mod" still knows how to give one heck of a live concert' after over 60 years on the scene.
He's been performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for some weeks now, and was scheduled to front the 'Encore Shows' on Friday and Saturday (29 and 30 May), but had to pull out at the last minute.
Stewart revealed he'd contracted a sinus infection (Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic) The reason, Stewart revealed, had been an ongoing health issue.
"My apologies to my family of fans," he told the Las Vegas Review Journal. "I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer."
His representative added: "Following his doctor’s advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully cancelled his performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but is scheduled to return with shows beginning June 2."
Currently, the 'Maggie May' hit-maker is still scheduled to perform in Vegas until 6 June. He's also on track to perform another stint of shows in the party capital of Nevada at the end of August.

In June of last year, Stewart dropped out of a number of shows ahead of his headline slot at Glastonbury, wanting to ensure he felt at his best for the legendary British festival.
His wife, Loose Women guest panellist Penny Lancaster, told HELLO! at the time: "He had influenza A, which is the worst one you can get. It knocked him sideways – he’s never been so ill in his entire life.
"About five days before Glastonbury, Rod said: 'I don’t think I’m going to be well enough. I tried my voice out, and it’s not working.' "He was worrying so much about the expectation and the pressure, everyone relying on him and not wanting to let anyone down. I think it just got in his head."
Lancaster revealed her husband battled influenza last year (Kate Green/Getty Images) Lancaster, 55, added: "I got him to a hospital in London, to a throat specialist. We had the camera down his throat to look at his voice box, we worked with a voice coach, we were hot steaming, cold steaming – we were doing everything."
