Grammys viewers were quick to spot singer's 'fuming' reaction after Beyoncé won best country album

Beyoncé bagged Best Country Album for her toe-tapping success 'Cowboy Carter' last year

A viral moment from last year's Grammy Awards has resurfaced this week ahead of the hotly anticipated 2026 ceremony later this week.

The biggest names in music will gather at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (1 Feb) for the 68th annual soiree of its kind.

The Grammys are purposed to honour the outstanding achievements made by front-runners of today's entertainment industry, with winners being voted by fellow professionals, rather than sales figures or popularity with fans.

This year's presenters were announced back in November, with the likes of KAROL G, Mumford & Sons, Sabrina Carpenter and Sam Smith already having been selected to issue out one of the 95 accolades on offer.

These span across pop, country, rap, R&B, Latin, global, jazz, and beyond.

Last year's celebrations were certainly one for the books - we had performances from the likes of Chappell Roan and Doechii, and witnessed Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' sweep up a staggering five wins across the board.

Viewers also observed Beyoncé make history with her first Album of the Year award win, as well as her becoming the first ever Black woman to take home a Grammy for Best Country Album, both of which were awarded for her toe-tapping success Cowboy Carter.

The same record had also been nominated in a staggering nine other categories.

One fellow attendee to the festivity - who joined Queen Bey in the latter category - wasn't too thrilled with the notion of the win, however.

Kacey Musgraves had also been nominated for Best Country Album last year for her album Deeper Well, with she and Beyoncé going up against the likes of Post Malone, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson in the highly sought-after category.

After Bey was announced as the winner by presenter Taylor Swift, the camera quickly penned to 37-year-old Musgraves, with onlookers simply unable to miss her disgruntled expression.

"Kacey is not having it! HAHAHAHAHAHA," one viewer of the live show wrote on social media at the time.

Another asked: "No because why did Kacey Musgraves look P****D."

"Kacey looks fuming," noted a third, whilst a third claimed: "Kacey Musgraves was not too happy with Beyoncé’s win."

Neither Beyoncé nor Musgraves are nominated for any awards this year, which also just so happens to be the first year that a Best Traditional Country Album will be bestowed, as opposed to the Best Contemporary Country Album.

The former category is made up from Charley Crockett, Lukas Nelson, Willie Nelson, Margo Price and Zach Top, whilst the latter will see Kelsea Ballerini, Tyler Childers, Eric Church, Jelly Roll and Miranda Lambert go head-to-head.
