Love Island fans left stunned after two women kiss and want to couple up

Love Island USA fans witnessed a refreshing rarity on the show after two women shared an on-screen kiss while seemingly coupling up in the process.

Season 5 of the show took a swift change in direction as Kassy Castillo and Johnnie Garcia - who we thought were not on the best of terms - admitted that they had feelings for one another.

The duo have been through a lot this season and viewers really did not expect them to get together.

Johnnie, 25, entered the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell while Kassy, 22, has been in since the start.

But prior to Casa Amor, Leonardo Dionicio was coupled with Kassy before they separated and Kassy connected with Matia Marcantuoni.

While this was going on, Leonardo connected with Johnnie.

A lot to get your head around, I know.

Although Kassy was fine with Leo getting with Matia at Casa Amor, Leo and Johnnie shockingly had sex.

Kassy was not happy.

But weirdly, it didn't take her long to forgive Johnnie and their friendship has moved from one stage, to another.

In a recent Love Island USA episode, the pair had a heart-to-heart.

While both Islanders were sat on the outdoor sofa, Kassy told Johnnie: "I obviously find you attractive, obviously, I just didn't know if you felt like the attraction too and stuff so I just wanted to like, see if you're seeing that, I don't know?"

"B**ch, I be seeing it, what do you mean?" Johnnie quickly responded, as Kassy continued: "Okay, I just wanted to know, like, we joke around and stuff, but like, I didn't know if it's really joking or not.

"I'm not joking," her fellow islander replied.

"But also, I just like I kept looking at you I kept wanting to talk to you and so I was like I'm low-key down," said Kassy.

"Not low-key, I am down."

Johnnie then admitted: "I like people that bring out a fun side in me and I feel fun when I'm with you.

"I feel comfortable when I'm with you, I feel like, you know what I mean, those aren't things that you find in people very often where you're, like, you get to be somebody else when you're with them."

"And, when I'm seeing you, I'm like, I would think we'd be cute, we would be cute together," Kassy said.

Before you know it, they both admitted to being 'down' and the pair shared a surprising on-screen kiss.

One shocked UK viewer tweeted: "Lol Love Island US have surpassed UK, she ended up stealing the girl that the guy she was coupled with bought back from Casa. Love that for them."

"How did Kassy end up here? another questioned.

As someone else said: "Wait WHAT?! Looool they’re saying these two were even into the same man, let me start today."
