Turns out one of the biggest plot twists of the latest season of Love Island wasn't actually shown on screen.
While plenty of Islanders have been open about crossing paths before heading into the villa, one pair managed to keep their history completely under wraps - and it only came out after one of them had already departed from the hit reality TV show.
Now, this year's series has already been full of familiar faces. Charleen Murphy and Fitzy admitted they knew each other before the show, while Tommy and Tina had previously met through Newcastle's nightlife scene.
A handful of Islanders have also been linked to former Love Island stars, so it's safe to say that pre-villa connections have become pretty standard.

But Casa Amor bombshell Aaron has now revealed he actually knew Mica Harris long before filming began, and the pair never mentioned it while cameras were rolling.
Speaking during a livestream with former Islander Harrison Solomon, Aaron explained that he first met fan favourite Mica at an event around two years ago before things moved into the DMs.
"The first girl I talked to in Casa was Mica," he said. "Obviously I've seen her outside."
When Harrison asked whether they knew each other properly before Love Island, Aaron replied: "Yeah, yeah."
He went on to explain that after meeting at the event, he got Mica's Instagram and the pair exchanged a few flirty messages.
According to Aaron, Mica even suggested he should come and visit her so she could show him around, leaving him convinced they already had enough of a connection to pick things up again in the villa.

In fact, he admitted he expected pursuing her in Casa Amor would be 'easy' because 'she knows me'.
Instead, ITV viewers watched on as things quickly fizzled out between the pair and Aaron promptly departed from the show.
Aaron claimed he jokingly told Mica he'd 'come here to save you', only for her to respond that she 'didn't need saving'.
Tonight's episode (9 July) sees the introduction of the Villa’s newest Bombshells.
Up first is 23-year-old Team Organiser Elicia from Rotherham who revealed that there are a few boys she's got her eye on.
"There's also one guy that isn't my usual type on paper, but has something which draws me in," she added.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old fitness coach Ethan from Nottingham said: "Finding love is the goal, but I’m not averse to drama.
"The two will go arm in arm if it means finding what I need, but I don’t typically dabble in drama that much. I like good energy. I’m a person of the people."
Love Island continues tonight at 9 pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Shortest Love Island UK stints
We’ve seen hundreds of Love Island contestants grace our screens over the 13 seasons that have aired since 2015, some more fleeting than others. Here are some of the shortest appearances in Love Island history…
Shannon Singh - three days
Many had high hopes when season seven contestant Shannon entered the villa back in 2021, as she quickly became a fan favourite and coupled up with Aaron Francis.
However, that quickly came crashing down when none other than Chloe Burrows rocked up and was tasked to pick a boy to recouple with.
Chloe ended up choosing Aaron, leading to Shannon being brutally dumped on day three.
Chuggs Wallis - two days

Season two bombshell Chuggs joined the show on day four alongside Liam Reardon. He failed to recouple with any of the girls and then Rachel Finni chose Brad McClelland over him, resulting in Chuggs being sent home.
Despite this, he managed to make an appearance on Love Island: All Stars in 2025, however, he was dumped after seven days.
Georgia Townend - two days

Georgia, another season seven star, stepped into the villa on day 23 and had her eyes set on Hugo Hammond.
Unfortunately, there was no connection between them, which led to her being booted off after a couple of days.
Ben Porter and Poppy Farnan - one day

If you cast your mind all the way back to season one then you might remember Ben and Poppy’s short but sweet time on Love Island.
They arrived not long before the season ended, failing to make a mark on the fellow islanders and ultimately getting dumped after less than 24 hours.
Oliver Maxwell Fernandez - one day

Perhaps one of the least memorable Love Island contestants of all time is season two’s Oliver.
He arrived at the villa on day 30 but after failing to turn any heads, the girls sent him packing just a day later.
Malia Arkian - less than a day
While Malia takes the crown for the shortest time on Love Island, her appearance is certainly one to remember.
In season two, she entered the villa on day seven, taking Scott Thomas on a date. However, the move didn’t sit well with Kady McDermott, who was coupled up with Scott.
The pair ended up coming to blows when Malia accused Kady of spilling a drink on her, leading to one of the most explosive moments in the show’s history and Malia’s swift removal from the villa.
