Zeze Millz has sparked a debate after stating that she does not want to 'raise kids on my own'.
The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant shared her thoughts on motherhood in a now-viral post on X.
“God forbid a woman doesn’t want kids,” she said. “I have no desire to raise kids on my own… the fact that’s always a possibility that can happen. Scares me. Married or not - most of the responsibility is on the mother. I don’t want it. I’m very open to being with someone with kids. I get the best of both worlds.”
Many fans came to the defense of the 37-year-old TV and social media personality.

While some have praised her honesty, arguing that women should not feel obligated to become mothers, others have criticised her position, questioning whether not wanting to take on the responsibility of raising a child is selfish.
One person defended Zeze, writing: “You really shouldn't have to explain yourself on this matter.”
Another echoed the sentiment, saying: “Zeze, I’ve been saying this for the past couple of weeks. Not everyone is built to raise kids without support and it’s okay to admit that. My fear is bringing a human on this earth to suffer for the sake of having kids. It’s a selfish act and I want no parts.”
Others argued that women should be free to make their own choices when it comes to motherhood, with one supporter commenting: “Totally understand that take. It’s 2026, women are more than baby-making machines. Girl, you do you!!!”
Another questioned why some people still struggle to accept that motherhood is a choice rather than an expectation, asking: “Why do some people refuse to accept that women are not obligated to have children?”
For some, the influencer’s stance was not only understandable but potentially more responsible than having children to satisfy societal expectations.
One person argued: “Is this not ironically 1000% more responsible than having children just because ‘that’s what women are supposed to do/want’ and treating said kid poorly?????”
Another appeared equally baffled by the criticism, writing: “Surely this is the logical stance? Doesn’t want the responsibility – doesn’t take on the responsibility. What am I missing here?”

However, not everyone was convinced. Some users took a more critical view, accusing the influencer of being selfish.
“Cheers, we get it, you’re selfish,” one person responded.
Another was similarly dismissive, writing: “You basically can’t be bothered to look after a baby.”
Zeze isn’t the only public figure to have faced scrutiny for being open about not wanting children. In November 2022, Marcela Munoz made headlines after explaining why she had chosen to remain child-free, with her decision prompting criticism from those who viewed it as selfish. Similarly, in August 2023, a woman went viral for sharing her reasons for not wanting children, highlighting concerns about the responsibilities of motherhood and the expectations placed on women. Teacher Jessica Hawk also sparked discussion in April 2023 after explaining that having children would have mentally destroyed' her, as she opened up about why she had chosen not to become a parent.
