People think Zendaya ‘won the war’ after spotting detail on Tom Holland’s new Spider-Man suit

Fans have been left praising Zendaya after realising that she may have been the reason Tom Holland’s Spider-Man suit looks a little different this time around.
If you haven’t followed Holland’s Spider-Man franchise, you need to get to work and catch up!
Like all good superhero movies, the costumes are central to the plot.
For Holland’s Peter Parker, he was supposed to have created his own to conceal his secret identity of being a web-wielding hero.

But his choice of DIY attire was a full-on Lycra bodysuit and an attachable mask- aka, not the most comfortable to be underneath if you want to breathe properly.
For years, this has been the standard Spidey suit, but it seems like Marvel has gone ahead and switched things up slightly for 2026’s Brand New Day instalment.
Fans online have posted behind-the-scenes snaps of the back of the suit, and have all been left saying the same thing.
Essentially, it all boils down to a Graham Norton interview with Holland and Zendaya in 2023, where the actress went on to air her fears over her fiancé and his movies.
Specifically, she was worried about how he would cope in his suit.
As the pair work together in the franchise, with Zendaya playing Parker’s MJ, she is privy to watching him work long hours in the restrictive suit.
Fans worked out that Holland’s suit has changed, notably donning a zipper which appears to start at his lower back and right to his neck so he’s able to take his mask off whenever necessary.
One person online wrote: “seeing tom with the spidey mask on just reminds of zendaya in that interview panicking about him throwing up in the suit, like my girl get’s genuinely stressed.”

That interview in question was when the actress expressed her concern for Holland’s well-being.
She said to Norton during the interview that his suit was a ‘one piece - there's a helmet, and there's all these things that go underneath it’, adding: “I always have this fear that if he's working really hard or something's happening — if he had to throw up, per say, how's he going to get it out?
“This is a genuine concern! Sometimes when I look at him I get a little scared — it just stresses me out!”
But having now seen what looks to be changes made to his suit, everyone is saying she ‘won the war’ on his costume design.
A user who spotted the new design wrote on social media: “the zipper oh i know zendaya happy.”
Another said: “tom’s new suit having a full zipper up to the mask oh zendaya won the war!”
Someone else wrote: “like poor man was suffering.”
A fourth said: “she said you better give him that zipper now or else!”
Lastly, someone wrote: “She said i not there full time but you all are gonna make sure and keep him alive.”
