Actress Zendaya didn't mince her words when responding to a vile troll who said they'd 'cry' if their parents looked like hers.

Zendaya, 27, who has starred in huge titles including Challengers, Dune, and Spider-Man: No Way Home was born in California to Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, two teachers.

Beginning her career as a child model, Zendaya has gone from strength to strength and shares a lot of her life online.

Sadly, receiving hateful comments online has become part and parcel of being a celebrity - but Zendaya found herself unable to hold back when one internet troll took aim at her parents.

Back in 2015, the actress posted a selfie with her parents - but since her fame has since skyrocketed, another user reposted it more recently.

They wrote the caption: "They made a gorgeous a** child lol."

And then the cruel person chose to write: "Her parents really ugly I really would cry."

Zendaya refused to let it lie and directly responded and her reply is nothing short of iconic.

She herself decided to repost the image again and brag about how 'selfless' they are while taking aim at the horrible comment.

She wrote on X: "First, I’m gonna pray for you. While you’re so concerned about what my parents look like, please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world.

"They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things such as looks and insulting people’s parents on Twitter, but instead became educators who have dedicate their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow minds. (One of the most important yet underpaid jobs we have)."

Se added: "So please, log out, go to school, hug a teacher and read a textbook…and while you’re at it, go look in the mirror and know that you too are beautiful, because such hateful things only stem from internal struggles. Bless you.

"Me and my BEAUTIFUL family."

Mic drop.

She clearly isn't letting the words get her down.

Images of Zendaya and her beau, actor Tom Holland, on holiday have had fans swooning in recent days.

Paparazzi photos of them reading to each other in the pool have set social media alight with people exclaiming that the duo are the ultimate couple goals.

One person wrote on X: "Zendaya and tom holland swapping books on vacation in italy is so special to me."

Another said: "This is the epitome of romance if i've ever seen it."
