It sounds like it could be the end of the road for another celebrity power couple this week, after fans noticed movie star Zendaya has unfollowed fellow actor boyfriend Tom Holland.

The fan-favourite duo - best known for appearing side-by-side in the latest Spiderman franchise - are believed to have been dating since not long after the release of their 2016 superhero blockbuster.

It wasn't until July 2021, however, that they confirmed their romance after being papped locking lips in a car.

Since then, the loved-up duo have remained majorly tight-lipped over the ins and outs of their relationship and rarely speak about one another to the press.

They do, however, often post sweet tributes to one another on social media, and have been photographed by paparazzi whilst enjoying a hand-in-hand outing on several occasions in the past.

Speaking about her decision to remain private about her love life, Zendaya previously told Elle that though she appreciates the love and interest from fans, she has been forced to adopt a 'you get what you get mentality' when it comes to opening up.

"I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share," she told the publication.

"It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide.

"That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now."

Just last year, however, the Euphoria star, 27, was forced to shut down engagement rumours after uploading a snap on Instagram showing off a fairly hefty ring.

"I can’t post anything, you guys," she said in now-removed Instagram video.

The pair met whilst filming Spiderman: Homecoming back in 2017.

"I posted it for my hat. Like not for the ring on my right hand, you guys, seriously. You think that’s how I would drop the news? You think, like, what?"

But now, fans have been left shocked and concerned after Zendaya unexpectedly unfollowed The Impossible star Tom, also 27, online.

It isn't just stage and screen star Tom that got the chop on Instagram, however, after she unfollowed everyone the was previously following.

While the pair haven't confirmed they've gone their separate ways, it hasn't stopped fans of the A-list duo from expressing their devastation about the potential split.

"Zendaya broke up with tom? OMG", one fan tweeted.

Fans are concerned that the pair may have split.

And another penned: "Zendaya unfollows everyone including Tom holland on Instagram WHAT?!"

Others, however, were quick to point out that an Instagram unfollow doesn't necessarily mean that the pair have gone their separate ways.

"They were together for Christmas and just got pictured a couple of days ago.if your going to post at least tell the truth", one fan hit out.

LADbible Group has contacted Zendaya's representatives for comment.
