Venezuela Fury's weekend nuptials have thrown the entire famous family back into the spotlight - including her grandfather, John.
John, the 60-year-old father of Venezuela's father, Tyson, was unexpectedly absent from images from the festivities, which were previously deemed rather controversial, given that the bride is just 16.
Unsurprisingly, the news of John's absence has unearthed the mindset he had when Tyson got married in 2008, when the future heavyweight champion was a teenager himself.
John had been present when his son said 'I do' to girlfriend Paris in Doncaster, England, 18 years ago.

He refused, however, to attend Tyson and Paris' vow renewal ceremony in August last year. The couple flew out to Nice, France, where they exchanged vows in the company of their children once again.

In the weeks prior, Tyson has discussed his intentions with John during an episode of At Home with The Furys, to which his father replied: "Oh, Tyson, what’s this b******s you keep coming out with?"
John went on to demand, 'What the f**k for?', to which 37-year-old Tyson admitted he wanted to reaffirm his love for Paris, 36.
"[I’ve] never heard of such s***e," John angrily hit out.
Tyson even asked his father to play the role of his best man - a question that triggered online debate at the time - begging: "Would you do it?"
John was then seen insisting: "Oh, Tyson, I don’t want to do it, honestly. Unbelievable."

He added: "You’re just wasting your f*****g money and time."
Later in the episode, during a 1-1 interview with producers, Tyson reflected on his father showing very little emotion while he was growing up.
"I didn’t have that growing up, none of that open love… at all," the father-of-seven recalled.
In the weeks prior to Venezuela's big day, John had similarly criticised his son for allowing his granddaughter to marry 19-year-old Noah Price.
During an episode of the family's hit Netflix docuseries, John hit out: "They’re children! I don’t think she’s mature enough for anything like – she’s still a baby.
"On my watch, a 15-year-old should never have a boyfriend, never."

At another point in the series, Venezuela discussed her marriage plans with Tyson, who asked if she was sure she wanted to marry Price.
"Marriage is forever, the way we do it, so when you go in that church and say 'I do', no piece of paper or government can undo you, as what God puts together can never be undone," he explained, seemingly referencing his family's traveller culture.
"So it's a lifetime commitment, and however old you are, 16-year-old, are you ready for a lifetime commitment to somebody you barely know?
"You know that for 100 per cent fact?"
After Venezuela confirmed she'd be willing to commit, Tyson happily responded: "Then fair play because I knew as soon as I saw your mother. If you can get a sensible lad, which he is, what more could you want?"

During several press interviews after the episode aired, Paris vehemently defended her daughter's decision to wed.
"There’s a part of me that is a little bit sad that it’s all happened so soon, because I still feel like I’m so young, and I feel like my kids," she previously confessed. "Imagine my brain, they’re all babies, and they’re all at home, but obviously, Venezuela is a young woman.
"She’s 16 years old. She makes her own choices in life. On the other hand, the mirror image - I think she is so lucky. Like, you’ve met this person that you want to spend your life with. I did the same thing at 17."
After the engagement episode aired last month, John told Playbook Boxing that his relationship with Tyson has been 'completely destroyed' by his son's world-famous boxing career.

"I'll say it on camera: I've never taken £10 off him in my life and I never will," he continued. "I don't want Tyson's money, and I don't need Tyson's money. Whatever he's got, good luck to him. But don't forget who built his story when he was a kid.
"He didn't build it himself, did he? Me, his father."
