Timothée Chalamet won big at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards - and he gave a sweet shoutout to his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, during his acceptance speech.
However, fans have been left confused by one detail, which is why he didn't call her by her name, if you'll excuse the pun.
The Critics Choice Awards, which were hosted by Chelsea Handler, honoured the year’s best talent in film, streaming and television as voted by critics and journalists, with the winners even being seen as an early indicator in the Oscar race.
So as you can imagine, his campaign for the Academy Award was given a boost when he bagged Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme last night (4 January).

Also nominated in the same category were some big names in Hollywood, such as Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
After thanking his fellow nominees, his team and the film’s director, Josh Safdie, in his acceptance speech, the actor turned his attention to his 'partner of three years'.
Addressing the reality TV star, 28, in the crowd, he said: "And lastly, I'll just say, thank you to my partner of three years."
Chalamet gushed: "Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much."
The camera cut to Jenner and she mouthed back: "I love you," as she adoringly watched on from the audience.
While most fans have been losing their minds over the star's public love declaration, others have been left puzzled by why Chalamet didn't specifically say Kylie's name in his speech.
One Reddit user questioned: "Wait he didn’t even say her name tho."
A second added: "He should have said her name tbh."
A third wrote: "Super weird how he refers to everyone else by name but her."
A fourth brutally penned: "Timothée calling Kylie his 'partner' as if that word is gonna make me take them seriously."

While someone else argued: "Wholesome, I think it was genuine for him to say 'my partner' not her name."
And another fan hit back with: "Why would he? We all know who he's talking about."
Meanwhile, others have taken to social media to simply gush about how cute the celebrity pair are, with one writing: "I’m not a fan of celeb couples but I love them so much."
Another added: "Surprisingly one of the industry’s healthiest relationships."
Chalamet and Jenner were first rumoured to be dating back in April 2023 following her split from rapper Travis Scott.
After months of romance speculation, the duo were finally spotted in public together for the first time when they attended a Beyoncé concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Since then, we've slowly seen them more and more in the spotlight together - and this has definitely taken the cake for their cutest moment so far.
