Travis Kelce reveals what he was actually watching on his phone as fans spot distraction

Swifties all over the world have been sharing their two cents on the viral US Open date Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went on over the weekend.

The couple were spotted on their PDA-packed date on 8 September and while many fans of the relationship were buzzing to see the pair cosy up and spend some quality time together, others couldn't help but wonder why Travis looked so distracted on his phone.

So much so, that Travis has had to come forward to finally reveal what he was actually watching on his phone during his day out with Taylor.

After footage of the pair circulated online, fans rushed to social media to 'work out' why Travis seemed so distracted on the day.

He was snapped with his phone at various moments throughout the game, often in landscape mode, prompting fans to think he was watching something different to a game of tennis.

One user wrote on X: "'He’s for sure watching football," as another said: "travis kelce sitting at the tennis watching the football on his phone propped up against a honey deuce cocktail is unbelievably me coded."

While a third added: "Kissing his lady's hand at the US Open while probably watching the Bengals lose on his phone. Travis Kelce is winning big time today."

The Kansas City Chiefs star has since confirmed he was, you guessed it, pretty preoccupied with the footie.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, Trav began: "Jason, when you get something like Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV, you can watch any game you want... you can actually watch four games at once.

"It was perfect... it was the first f**king Sunday of the NFL season!"

The NFL quarterback continued: "It was primetime for any NFL fan and I've always been a fan first, man. The volume was down... I wasn't listening with volume.

"I was watching that Miami Dolphins game just waiting for Tyreek Hill to go for 300 yards and five touchdowns knowing what happened earlier in the day."

He continued: "And sure enough, finally in the fourth quarter when I think Jacksonville had just fumbled the ball, literally the next play they go up top to Tyreek Hill and he has this fun touchdown celebration..."

Ending his confession, Travis joked: "You can lock me up all you want, baby!"

Taylor and Travis' US Open appearance comes after rumours of a planned split when a fake 'contract' circulated the web, which listed the date of their supposed 'breakup' as 28 September and listed 'strategy' for the press.
