Suits star Gabriel Macht has refused to tell anyone where he now lives after fleeing the United States with his family.

The 53-year-old actor, who married Bridget Jones star Jacinda Barrett, has opened up about the reason why he, his wife and their two kids; daughter Satine, 17, and son Luca, 10, have relocated.

"I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps," he told People. "I got out of town and we’re exploring the world."

Macht, best known for playing Harvey Specter in the popular TV series, also revealed that his family's original plans were put on pause following the pandemic.

He continued: "Right before COVID, we wanted to take the kids out of school and homeschool them.

"But then we got stuck and so we were in Manhattan. That just wasn’t doing it for us. We decided to explore the world, so we left."

The actor explained that he grew up in Los Angeles and lived in New York for 'many, many years', speaking on his time in the States as spending 'half of my life on the East Coast, half of my life on the West Coast'.

After playing his character on Suits for an impressive nine seasons, from 2011 to 2019, the father-of-two decided to take a break from the 'biz and explore new career pathways.

He is now a creative partner and executive shareholder in Bear Fight Whiskey.

"I had very little interest in coming back to work as an actor right now, because I spent so much time [doing it] and this was my time to really raise my kids and to do this creative stuff, like Bear Fight," he shared.

Despite this new professional venture, Macht assured fans he will be returning to our screens as his character in the upcoming spinoff, Suits LA, saying that reprising the role made 'sense' for his family of four.

He also revealed he quite liked the idea of being able to 'sort of pass the baton to Stephen [Amell] and the cast in LA'.

"We're trying to figure out how to incorporate Bear Fight into [an episode]," Macht joked.

One of Macht's Suits co-stars was none other than the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, who departed from the show at the end of season seven back in 2018.

Starring as Rachel Zane, Markle's departure was announced a year prior in November 2017, the day after she announced her engagement to Prince Harry.
