Sofia Richie has shared the heartwarming moment she found out whether she’d be expecting a boy or a girl, having posted a gender reveal video on TikTok.

Richie, 25, and husband Elliot Grainge, 30, revealed they were expecting their first child together in an interview with Vogue last week.

The model got engaged to Grainge back in 2022 before tying the knot in the south of France the following year.
A few weeks before their big day, Richie announced that she’d also converted to Judaism, and legally married at home in the US ahead of the lavish affair in the Mediterranean.
And now the couple are set to become parents, with a baby girl on her way.
They decided to share the exciting news with a gender reveal, with Richie - who is the youngest daughter of singer Lionel Richie – saying she and Grainge were convinced they were having a boy.
She told Vogue: “I love the YouTubes and the TikToks - even before I was talking about getting pregnant - of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink."
Richie went on: "She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together.
“We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock.
“My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too."
Speaking about her husband’s reaction, she added: "I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters.
"It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive."
They filmed the gender reveal and shared it on TikTok, with Richie joking in the caption: “Sorry to all my neighbors for the horrifying scream.”
In the clip, Grainge holds up a cannon, while Richie – and their dog – watch on excitedly.
The cannon goes off to reveal a plume of pink smoke, as pink confetti also rains down on the parents-to-be.
Commenting on the video, one fan wrote: “The simplest gender reveal yet very elegant and intimate.”
Someone else agreed: “I love how they did this together without anyone else!”
Another said with a crying-with-laughter emoji: “The way she just started running.”
A fourth added: “Love the simplicity and how intimate this gender reveal is.”
