Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher took to their Instagram stories today (April 5) to announce they shockingly filed for divorce in 2023.

The famed pair have been married since 2010 and share three children together.

Taking to Instagram, they revealed that they jointly filed for divorce last year.

Their statement read: "After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.

"We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.

"We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy."

The shocking split announcement comes not long after allegations fellow Aussie actor Rebel Wilson made in her new memoir, Rebel Rising.

Taking to her Instagram, Rebel revealed that Sacha was the 'a**hole' she had dedicated a whole chapter to in her new book, which was released on 2 April.

Sacha has denied all allegations.

Rebel wrote: “I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers.

"The “a**hole” that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen.”

Since then, Rebel claimed she felt 'sexually harassed' by Sacha on the set of 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby, where she played his onscreen girlfriend.

"It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene. I was like, 'Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha.'"

Her memoir also alleged: "SBC summons me via a production assistant saying that I’m needed to film an additional scene. 'Okay, well, we’re gonna film this extra scene', SBC says. Then he pulls his pants down ... SBC says very matter-of-factly: 'Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass'. And I’m like, ‘'what?? ... No!!' ..."

Sacha has strenuously denied all allegations, with representatives for the Borat actor saying: "While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby."

Earlier in the week, Isla made her return to social media amidst the damning allegations against Sacha with an Instagram post of her 'girl's night at the theater' in London.

Sacha and Isla met at a Sydney party in 2001, a few years before both their acting careers hit screens across the globe.

Isla has starred in movies like The Wedding Crashers, Wedding Daze and Definitely, Maybe, while Sacha is best known for playing outlandish characters like Borat, The Dictator and Ali G.
