It's always funny when a company's official social media accounts act a little, well, unprofessional at times.

But one company that really takes the cake when it comes to its social media presence is none other than budget airline Ryanair.

And the company's latest antics on X making a completely unprovoked brutal dig at Ed Sheeran has left people in absolute stitches.

It all started after footage from one of the 33-year-old singer-songwriter's latest gigs went viral this week.

In the clip, Ed can be seen standing at the front of a room guitar in hand as he strums along to his 2011 smash-hit 'The A Team' which went on to receive a Grammy Award nomination for Song of the Year two years later.

Arguably, it's also the track which single-handedly launched the 'Give Me Love' singer's entire career, cementing him as one of the biggest names in music today.

The singer was performing a private gig for the England footie team following their 2-1 win against Slovakia at Euro 2024, but the room was totally silent as they watched the pop icon sing, with some whipping out their phones to film the stint.

It was no Glastonbury - that's for sure.

GRM Daily shared the post on X yesterday (2 July), captioning it: "Ed Sheeran visits the England camp to give them a private performance."

However, it's clear Ryanair was not a fan of the performance, as just a few hours later the official Ryanair X account quote tweeted the post writing: "they've been through enough."

Unsurprisingly, the internet has been sent into an absolute spiral following the out of pocket comment with many rushing in to share their reactions to the jab.

Amidst the avalanche of laughing emojis and defensive comments from Ed super-fans, many took the chance to give the airline a taste of its own medicine.

"Probably never had to fly Ryanair though," hit out one X user.

A second slammed: "Like your passengers?"

"Did they have to fly Ryainair?" asked a third.

While a fourth wrote: "Could have been worse? They could have been flying @Ryanair home…"

And another wisecracked: "Ryanair on rampage these days."

The exchange has also made its way across from X to Instagram with one user writing: "Ryanair are menaces."

Another quipped: "Ryanair social media team are absolute savages!"

"They’re not wrong lol," joked a third while a fourth chimed in: "FFS it’s as bad as that bloke and Dua Lipa."

Nothing, and we can confirm, was as bad as that.

Another piped up: "Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse…"

And a final Instagram user joked: "As if they haven’t suffered enough."
