Amelia Dimoldenberg shares brutal reason she wouldn’t have Andy Burnham on Chicken Shop Date
From Andrew Garfield to Billie Eilish, Paul Mescal, and Aitch, many famous faces have sat down for a chat in Amelia Dimoldenberg’s ‘chicken shop’ - but the UK’s new Prime Minister Andy Burnham won’t be joining the roster.
For those who aren’t familiar with the English comedian and presenter, 32, she is the creator and host of the hugely popular YouTube series, in which she questions A-Listers using her sarcastic, awkward and flirty sense of humour.
But, speaking to the BBC, she revealed that the former Manchester Mayor is simply ‘not her type’ for a date.
In a new interview on Wednesday (29 July), when quizzed on the possibility, Dimoldenberg replied: "I don't think that maybe he's my type for Chicken Shop Date.”

She did add, though, that she’s not against the idea of the PM collaborating with people like her, and would ‘love’ to have a chat with him.
It comes as the Labour politician has unveiled plans to work with influencers to communicate his policies to the public, in a shake-up for politics
A source at Downing Street told the BBC that the plan is to take a ‘more social first’ and ‘authentic to Andy,’ with ‘less high production, polished’ content online that we’ve seen from previous Prime Ministers.
Dimoldenberg said she views the move as a ‘positive thing’ because social media ‘is now where so many people get their news’.
She added: "I don't think it means he's only going to be speaking to vloggers forever, really.”
Young TikTokers were already invited to Number 10 so Burnham could thank them in person for their work on his Makerfield by-election campaign.
Burnham officially stepped into the role on 20 July, replacing Keir Starmer and becoming the country’s fourth PM in just five years.
Dimoldenberg said she would ‘100% love to have a conversation’ with Burnham about what he's doing to tackle youth unemployment - something she’s passionate about.
She told the broadcaster: "I think having more training schemes, apprenticeships is really, really vital in helping young people.”
The comedian set up a free summer course called the Dimz Inc. Academy, which trains up young people aged 18-24 to help them get into the creative industries.
She explained: "I started Chicken Shop Date as part of a youth club, and we made a magazine, and everything I learned there, the connections I made, the mentoring I got, set me up for the career that I have today," she explains.
"So it was always such a big ambition of mine to be able to give that back to young people when I was able to."
