Robert Irwin’s mum and sister react to risqué photo shoot that left fans distracted by one small detail

Terri and Bindi Irwin weighed in on the saucy snaps that sent social media into meltdown

Robert Irwin's mum and sister have reacted after a risqué photoshoot featuring the 21-year-old left people stunned.

Irwin, son of beloved Aussie crocodile hunter Steve Irwin who sadly passed away in 2006, recently teamed up with Bonds, an Australian underwear brand, for their latest campaign.

The campaign, aptly titled 'Made for Down Under,' sees the conservationist, zookeeper and TV presenter posing among real-life snakes and crocodiles while donning the brand's boxer-style undies.

Speaking about his decision to work with Bonds, Robert told People that he had no hesitation with his answer when he got the offer.

"It was a pretty immediate yes," he said.

"I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, 'Yes! Let's do it!' Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon."

He added: "Also, I'm at this point in my life where I'm trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it's something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I've never done before and it's a bit of an adrenaline rush? That's what I want to be doing."

Now, Robert's mum Terri and his sister Bindi have weighed in on the rather risqué snaps.

Speaking to ET ahead of last week's Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas - a celebration of the life and legacy of the late zookeeper and conservationist - Terri quipped: "That's a whole 'nother legacy," before adding, "I probably did 10 or 15 more sit ups after seeing that."

And Bindi joked: "As a sister, there are just some things you can never unsee. I'm scarred for life.

"I'm kidding. I'm so proud of you, but also I am your sister, so it's a little hard for me."

After the campaign went pubic earlier this month, fans were quick to react to the saucy snaps on social media.

"Suddenly I'm obsessed with crocodiles," one user wrote.

"Whoa! When did this dude become this f**king hot?" gushed a second, while a third simply commented: "Crikey!"

However, others were left distracted by a small detail in one of the campaign images, specifically Irwin's shoulder.

At first glance, it seems like the model's donning a spider tattoo at the top of his left bicep, but it turns out that the eight-legged creepy-crawly was 100 percent real!

"Not me thinking the spider on his arm was a tattoo and not a real one!" one Instagram user confessed.
