Mother-of-two Rihanna took no prisoners this weekend when faced with online criticism over the names she chose to give her sons.

The Barbadian hit-makers shares her youngsters with long-term partner and fellow musician A$AP Rocky - real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

The A-list couple welcomed her eldest, RZA, in May 2022, meaning he's soon approaching his third birthday.

Their youngest, Riot Rose, was born in August 2023, making him just 19-months-old.

Rihanna spent several months after the respective births of her children keeping their names under wraps - and in RZA's case, she was also initially reluctant to reveal whether or not she'd welcomed a baby boy or a girl.

Eventually, the couple broke the news of their chosen monikers.

And this weekend, to celebrate International Women's Day (on 8 Mar), the 'Umbrella' chart-topper took to social media to share a photo from the births of her two beautiful boys, honouring the incredible ability of women's bodies to bring life into the world.

Alongside the pair of sweet pics, Rihanna captioned the collection: "by far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay. 1- RZA 2- Riot Rose."

And adding of the accessories she's seen donning in the images, she added: "And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening."

Whilst millions of fans of the much-loved star immediately took to the comments to congratulate her over her motherhood, a handful of others explicitly took issue with the names she'd chosen for her sons.

"I hate their names so bad," one critic hit out.

Thankfully, however, over two decades in the entertainment industry has given Rihanna a hard-faced approach to online trolling, and she hit back at the controversial comment with a pretty iconic response.

"Ok, Tatiana," she simply penned, leaving her followers in stitches.

Many were seemingly confused by her reference, but enjoyed the remark nonetheless.

"Is 'Ok Tatiana' the new 'sure Jan' or 'bye Felicia'," one asked. Another joked: "Tatiana, where are youuuu."

Rihanna's latest quip comes just over a year after she teased the potential of she and A$AP welcoming a third child later down the line.

In December 2023, the 37-year-old joked to E! News on the red carpet of the Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty launch party about the possibility of having a third child.

When asked by an interviewer: "Is there one thing you can't do so far?" the singer joked: "So far, have daughters!"

She went on to reveal: "I'm batting at 75 percent for a boy next time. So, we'll just keep our fingers crossed."
