Backlash sparked as Trisha Paytas ‘baby theory’ goes viral following Ozzy Osbourne’s death

It was announced that the Black Sabbath frontman passed away yesterday morning

A truly bizarre Trisha Paytas 'baby theory' has sparked major backlash after going viral following the tragic passing of Ozzy Osbourne.

It was announced yesterday (22 July) that the Black Sabbath singer passed away 'surrounded by love' at the age of 76.

The statement from his family confirming his death reads in full: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."

The statement in question did not detail Osbourne's cause of death, but he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019.

As tributes from fans from all over the globe poured in, a seriously peculiar conspiracy theory reared its head once again, linking the heavy metal legend with YouTube sensation Trisha Paytas.

What is being loosely dubbed as the 'Trisha Paytas baby reincarnation theory' is an internet meme and conspiracy-like joke that first emerged in 2022.

It’s based on a coincidental timeline involving the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8th September 2022 and the birth of Paytas' first child named Malibu just a few days later on the 14th September 2022.

People also made the very broad leap of linking the birth of Paytas' second child, daughter Elvis, with the false reports of Pope Francis dying at the same time.

However, this doesn't add up at all, considering Elvis was welcomed to the world in May 2024, whereas the late pope actually passed in April 2025 - nearly a whole year on from Elvis' birth.

And the latest update in the saga sees people reckoning there is a cosmic link between Osbourne's recent death with the birth of Paytas' youngest child, a son named Aquaman.

Paytas shares all three children with her husband, Moses Hacmon.

But, once again, people have pointed out that this theory doesn't actually stand up when you look at the dates.

Many fans rushed to social media to call out the insensitivity of such jokes, which didn't take long to crop up all over the internet mere moments after the news of Osbourne's death was announced to the world.

"Oh, btw your Trisha Paytas jokes about Ozzy's death aren't funny, and I won't hesitate to block. I'm so serious right now," hit out one X user ,while another chimed in: "I'm too upset about Ozzy to find the Trisha Paytas reincarnation jokes funny its just annoying me. This is too devastating."

As we say, the backlash is twofold as such bizarre conspiracy theories peddled by internet sleuths revolve around maths that just doesn't quite add up - which makes for a pretty valid criticism if you ask me.

"If I see anyone making jokes about Trisha Paytas’ baby being the reincarnation of Ozzy I’m going to lose it here baby was born a week ago ISTG," pointed out a third.

A fourth echoed: "Y'all realise Trisha’s baby was born 10 days ago right… that baby ain’t Ozzy."

It's true.

As we know, Osbourne died yesterday (22 July), whereas little Aquaman was born earlier this month (12 July) - she just simply announced the birth on the same day as the 'Iron Man' singer's passing.
