A body language expert has revealed the 'silent reassurance' Adrien Brody gave his girlfriend after his kiss with Halle Berry, and how she really felt about it all.
Viewers of the Oscars red carpet were left stunned, after Halle Berry wildly planted a kiss on Adrien Brody - right in front of his girlfriend. But Berry blamed the bizarre interaction on 'getting revenge' on a moment they shared at the Oscars back in 2003.
During that awards ceremony, Berry awarded Brody with the Best Actor accolade for his performance in The Pianist.
Ironically, Brody also won the Best Actor award at last night's Oscars (2 March), for his starring role in The Brutalist.

When Brody took to the stage to accept the award in 2003, he took Berry into his arms before suddenly kissing her, saying: "I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag."
The surprise smooch stunned viewers, but Berry feels as though she got him back last night.
Before kissing Brody on the carpet yesterday, she turned to his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, before telling her: "I'm sorry, Georgina, but I got to do it."
After the somewhat forced kiss, she turned to his partner again, and added: "I'm so sorry, I had to do that."
Chapman looked as though she felt fine about the kiss in the moment, but a body language expert interpreted a slightly different reaction.
Speaking on behalf of Covers.com, expert Inbaal Honigman said: "Adrien’s partner, Georgina Chapman, acts as though she is unbothered by the moment, but her body language tells a different story.
"She throws her arms wide and turns her palms upwards, a symbolic gesture of welcoming Halle into the joke."
But the body language expert noted that she didn't feel overly amused by the situation.
Honigman added: "However, when she claps, her hands rise unnaturally high, covering her body, suggesting a protective instinct rather than genuine enthusiasm."
The expert branded her reaction as 'forced', and that Berry didn't really leave her any other choice than to look okay with the kiss.
She said: "Her laughter also appears exaggerated, she bends over in apparent amusement, but her eyes never leave the back of Halle’s neck."
The expert also noted that 'her giggles are purely for show', prompting Brody to comfort his partner.
"Adrien picks up on it," she added. "And in response, he turns to Georgina and kisses her, a silent reassurance that she is the one who truly has his heart."
Speaking to Variety after her 'payback' kiss, Berry addressed the 2003 incident, saying: "That was one hell of a night for him, and for me as well."
"To be a part of his moment … tonight I had to pay him back."
