Nicole Kidman was once secretly engaged to another major celebrity after her marriage to Tom Cruise ended in divorce.
Nicole, 57, and Tom, 62, were hailed as the 'it' couple of the 90s.
They first met on the set of the hit film Days of Thunder and decided to tie the knot only a year later in a private ceremony on Christmas Eve in 1990.

Just a couple years later in 1992, they adopted a daughter named Isabella Jane and some years after that, in 1995, they adopted a son named Connor.
However, they parted ways in 2001 with Nicole admitting to Vanity Fair: "I fell madly, passionately in love. And as happens when you fall in love, my whole plan in terms of what I wanted for my life — I was like, 'Forget it. This is it'.
"I was consumed by it, willingly. And I was desperate to have a baby with him. I didn’t care if we were married."

Tom seemed to move on pretty quickly after filing for divorce as he started dating his Vanilla Sky co-star, Penelope Cruz, the same year.
However, they went on to split in 2004.
Tom, who was previously wed to fellow actor Mimi Rogers before Nicole in 1987, went on to marry his third wife, Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012 and had a daughter, Suri Cruise, with her in 2006.

And as for Nicole?
Well, she married country music star, Keith Urban, in 2006 and went on to have two daughters with him, Sunday Rose and Faith, who were born in 2008 and 2010.
Now, while many of us may have known some if not all of Nicole and Tom's relationship timeline - not many are aware of who she was once engaged to following the divorce from Tom: none other than Lenny Kravitz, 60.
She made the confession when discussing her series, Big Little Lies, which she stars in alongside Zoë Kravitz - Lenny's 35-year-old daughter who he shares with Lisa Bonet.

Speaking to Net-A-Porter's The Edit about her relationship with her castmate, she said: "Well, I knew Zoe because I was engaged to her father.
"It's all in the family!"
There clearly wasn't any bad blood between the pair after calling the engagement off as the Moulin Rouge star made sure to add: "I love Lenny.

"He's a great guy."
The pair were very private about their relationship, but Zoë once revealed to the same outlet: "I hadn’t seen her in a long time before Big Little Lies, but there was a point where we were all kind of living together.
"I was about 13, and she would take me to see movies; she was so nice to me."
And it's clear Lenny still holds Nicole in such a high regard, previously telling Mr. Porter’s The Journal: "Nicole is amazing. Zoë and she hadn’t spent time together since she was younger, since Nicole and I were together, so that was great."
