Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have officially divorced - and more details have emerged, including whether the so-called 'cocaine clause' could be real.

A judge in Nashville, Tennessee, issued an order dissolving the 19-year marriage of the Oscar-winning actor, 58, and the Grammy-winning country singer, also 58.

The judge said in court papers that the couple’s settlements on splitting assets and child custody are sufficient, and successfully granted them the divorce after Kidman filed in September.

The celebrity split came as a surprise to most of the public, but it seemed to have been in the works for a while, as all of the legal issues involving assets and custody had been settled and signed the day of her filing.

Kidman and Urban have two teenage daughters together, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, and their divorce filing cited 'marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences' as the reason behind the split.

The plan they signed states that Kidman would be the primary residential parent to the children, as well as suggesting they would remain living in Nashville as they have all their lives.

The filing states that neither parent would need child or spousal support, and lays out a roughly equal division of their joint assets.

However, when the divorce was first announced, one thing that people fixated on was the so-called 'cocaine clause' and whether it's a real thing the A-list couple planned to stick to.

What is the 'cocaine clause'?

As reported by Radar Online, a 'cocaine clause' was apparently included in their prenuptial agreement when they got married, explaining that if Urban remains sober from drugs and alcohol throughout their marriage, and if it were to end, then he would receive a payment of $600,000 for every year that they were together.

Like we said, they tied the knot in 2006 before filing for divorce this year, so that means they've spent 19 years together.

So, if they had decided to stick to this, it would have meant the country singer could be in for a very substantial sum of $11.4 million in payments.

But, now the divorce has been finalised, the alleged clause seems to be nowhere in the documents, so despite it being widely reported on, it may not actually be real.

As per Page Six, it remains unclear whether Kidman and Urban had a prenuptial agreement.

The publication also reported that the pair allegedly monthly incomes exceeding $100,000 each and as we say, they agreed that all property, such as including investments, bank accounts, household furniture, appliances, vehicles and personal items, will be divided by mutual agreement.

Each person will reportedly retain what is currently in their possession.

Kidman and Urban met in Los Angeles in 2005 and were married in Sydney the following year, before becoming red carpet fixtures throughout their two-decade relationship, with Urban joining his wife at the Oscars and Kidman attending music events like the Academy of Country Music Awards.

The marriage was the first for Urban and the second for Kidman, who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. Kidman also has two older children with Cruise.
