Molly-Mae Hague thought Tommy Fury was ‘a little bit naïve’ about their life change before welcoming Bambi, having opened up about their journey to parenthood in a new Netflix documentary.

Reality star Molly-Mae, 24, welcomed little Bambi - her first child with partner Tommy Fury, also 24 - in January this year.

In the months since, the reality star and YouTuber has been candid with fans about what it’s been like being a mother, saying earlier this year she felt understandably ‘overwhelmed’, but that she felt ‘proud’ of the parent she has become.

Tommy, meanwhile, has said becoming a dad is the best thing that has ever happened to him, revealing on an episode of Loose Women that he feels like a ‘different man’ - something that has no doubt been noticed by his missus, who previously worried he was going into parenting with a ‘naïve’ view.

In new Netflix docu-series At Home with the Furys, we see Molly-Mae and Tommy preparing to become parents in the months before Bambi was born.

“It feels like you’ve swallowed an animal and the animal’s wriggling inside of you,” Molly-Mae tells Tommy as they’re sat on the sofa talking about the pregnancy.

“That’s the only way I can explain it.

“And then soon you’ll actually be able to start seeing limbs and stuff poking through.”

Speaking to the camera, she says she feels ‘excited about becoming a mum’, even if she is also 'a little bit nervous’.

As for Tommy, she goes on: “He does try and hide it as well - that he’s nervous – but I can read it all over his face that he’s terrified.”

Molly-Mae continues: “I think Tommy’s learning, day by day, more of what’s gonna be required of him as a father.

“I think he’s a little bit naïve, potentially, as to what things are gonna be like and how much life’s going to change.

“But I know he’s gonna be the most incredible dad, and he’s gonna be everything we need him to be and more.

“So I’m just really excited to see that new side of him.”

Back on the sofa, she asks Tommy if he feels ‘ready’ to become a dad, to which he replies: “I feel ready. I feel like it was the next step for us.”

She then ponders whether or not he may have been ‘potentially a little happier’ if they were having a boy.”

“Obviously, it would have been ideal to...” he begins, before Molly-Mae cuts in: “What?!”

Tommy adds: “Have a son to take to the boxing gym and hold the pads for him. He can hit my hands. But…”

When Molly-Mae questions him on ‘what’s not ideal’ about a girl, he says: “There’s nothing not ideal about a girl, I’m just saying... Although I wouldn’t really push her into boxing because getting punched in the face for a living... It’s not a very smart way to make a living.”

Hole officially dug, Tommy!

When he said he planned to 'cut the placenta', Molly-Mae had to point out this tended to be the umbilical cord that the dad cut.

He then corrected himself, saying: "I'll cut the umbilical cord, and I'll put a sachet of it in my wallet because I wanna keep it."

Tommy adds: "I'm excited, I'm looking forward to it!"
