Molly-Mae has admitted that she was blindsided to discover over 2,000 people making cruel remarks online about her appearance.

The social media influencer made the confession in her latest weekly YouTube upload, claiming that the comments left her afraid to recreate the look ever again.

Fans of the mother-of-one have been keen to keep up to date with her antics in recent weeks - especially following her shock split from fiancé Tommy Fury.

Molly-Mae - who shares one-year-old daughter Bambi with the boxer - broke the news on Instagram last month, claiming she 'never expected' their story to end, 'especially not this way'.

Since then - despite admitting she'll never lift the lid on the reason for the split in public - fans have been checking in on the star.

And as such, thousands rushed to her defence this week when she revealed that she'd been the victim of some image-based trolling recently.

Filming a 'get ready with me', the former Love Island star opened up about the moment she found out she was receiving backlash for her go-to hair style.

"I'm thinking what I might do, because, as you're seeing right now, this is turning into my literal everyday slicked-back bun, which - by the way - I saw a TikTok of the other day." she said.

"[It said] 'some girls need to be told that the slicked-back bun does not look good on them', and in the comments, the comments were all saying, 'Someone needs to tell Molly-Mae about this'.

"And the comment got 2,000 likes, and I was like, 'That's me never doing my favourite hairstyle ever again'."

She went on to admit: "I really like this hairstyle!"

And by the sounds of things, Molly-Mae's heartbreaking news has encouraged a wave of fans to offer her their support.

Taking to the comments of the video, one gushed: "I’m genuinely so surprised anyone thought you didn’t suit the slick bun because I think you are one of the few people who really really suit the slick bun".

Another added: "Honey pls don’t even think twice about people’s comments on your bun, TikTok tends to bring the wrong crowd anyway and we think it looks lovely xx".

"Whoever said that about your slick back bun or liked the comment has absolutely no idea," a third continued.

"I wear that hairstyle nearly every day because you influenced me, you pull it off so well."
