It seems that the internet really doesn’t want to give Molly-Mae Hague a break, as trolls have now set their sights on the crib she chose for her newborn son, Midas.

The Cheshire-based influencer, 27, and her fiancé Tommy Fury, also 27, are settling into life as a family of four after welcoming their second child together earlier this month

Molly and Tommy, who already share a three-year-old daughter called Bambi, revealed that they had named their baby boy Midas in theatrical fashion at the Love Island alum’s boxing match against Eddie Hall in Manchester on 13 June.

Since then, the Maebe founder has been sharing sneak peeks of how the parents-of-two are getting along, with photo dumps on Instagram and even a quick YouTube catch-up.

She’s also been keeping fans updated on her home account, Molly Maison, where she shared photos of Midas’ nursery for the first time over the weekend.

Molly penned: “Midas’ nursery… We reused the cot and cloud lights from Bambi’s nursery because I loved them so much. It feels really special having them in his room at our new house too!”

And as usual, social media users have been picking apart Molly and Tommy’s every decision, including the crib they’ve chosen for the little one.

Now, for those of you who are dedicated Molly-Mae fans, you may recognise it, as it’s the exact same one she used for Bambi when she was a baby - and it strummed up similar backlash back then.

According to Metro, the clear acrylic, transparent crib in question costs a whopping £8,000 - and fans are divided.

One X user cruelly wrote: “Why is the crib that Molly Mae has for her child the jail cell they kept Hannibal Lecter in.”

While a second pointed out: “All the hand prints and stains that will get on that, what a pain to clean lol.”

And a third and fourth penned: “Bring colour back to nurseries!!!” and “hideous, sterile… those poor children will never know colour…”

“What in the police holding cell is going on with that cot?!” questioned a fifth.

However, thankfully, Molly’s fans have come forward to defend her and the crib, with one Instagram user writing: “Thank you for showing that repurposing items is not just because of a lack of money but because it can be done purposefully and sentimentally.”

A second added: “It’s a £9k cot, it’s ok to reuse it,” and a third wrote: “The crib looks cool.”

While a fourth agreed: “Girl, it’s okay to reuse stuff lol you don’t have to explain yourself.”

A fifth chimed in with: “Some super nasty comments on here which I’ll never understand. His room looks beautiful. Sending the biggest congrats mama.”

And a sixth added: “Beautiful room. Love cot and cloud lights.”

Tyla has contacted a representative for Molly for comment.
