Michelle Visage has blindsided her fans this by claiming that sex with other men is the secret to success in her marriage to husband David Case.

Well, she didn't quite word it like that.

But the much-loved RuPaul's Drag Race judge did reveal that she and her other-half have a mutual understanding about romances on the side, adding that they'd continue to love one another as long as they remain transparent about their antics.

Prior to becoming a drag icon, Michelle first met her life partner David through a mutual friend in New York in the mid 90s.

At the time, she was a singer in the hit girlband Seduction, whilst he'd recently graduated from the prestigious acting school Juilliard.

Within a matter of weeks, their chemistry intensified and in 1997, they tied the knot in a private ceremony, when Michelle and David were just 27 and 26.

The years that followed saw the couple move to California before welcoming two beautiful daughters together - Lillie, 24, and Lola, 22.

Naturally, therefore, the pair's seemingly picture-perfect life - and I mean that literally, as they're ceaselessly sharing PDA Insta-snaps together - has sparked mass questioning over how they've been able to keep the spark alive after so many years.

It wasn't until a recent - and downright shocking - interview that Michelle, now 56, gave on the Origins With Cush Jumbo podcast that her fans got a clearer image of what makes a happy marriage.

Firstly, the former Strictly Come Dancing star looked back on the early days of their romance.

"We've been together for 28 years now," she explained. "And I met him in New York City in Central Park and I had just gotten out of a relationship that was like the love of my life and he destroyed me.

"After that, I had a summer of debauchery and then I met David in Central Park and he was so opposite. He was very much like Michael, my ex fiancé."

She went on to reveal, however, that her summer of naughtiness didn't quite stop there, alluding to the fact that she and David continue to have a mutual understanding about romances on the side.

"We live openly, so he would get off knowing that I was so happy and no matter what it is that I do, and I'm not just talking sexually," Michelle explained.

"Whatever it is, I don't know if I have compersion in me to be really excited if he's doing something with another woman but I know that it exists and he is 100% that."

She went on to insist: "The full transparency of the way we live our lives. Completely and, by the way, sometimes it's not even necessary.

"It's just, meaning, we don't do anything. It's just the ability to be able to. [...] And that's what works for us."

'Each to their own', as they say, Michelle!
