A body language expert has picked up on a 'nervous' gesture Blue Ivy Carter exhibited last night while making her Met Gala debut.
The teen joined her mega-star mother, Beyoncé, and her music producer dad, Jay-Z, on the red carpet of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday evening (4 May).
Queen Bey, who herself hadn't attended the grand fashion soiree in over a decade, immediately set tongues wagging after she flaunted a remarkable flesh-coloured bodysuit, embellished with a diamond skeleton design and paired with a gigantic feathered coat with exaggerated train.
The get-up perfectly fell in line with this year's theme 'Costume Art', a concept which organisers hoped would see attendees explore the 'centrality of the dressed body' through depictions of the human form.

Speaking on Vogue's live stream, the 'This Ain't Texas' singer explained: "It’s designed by Olivier Rousteing, somebody who has been so loyal to me, and I’ve done so many iconic looks with him."
Her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, meanwhile, rocked a short and sweet white puffball dress and a pair of suave sunglasses.
"It feels surreal, because my daughter's here," Beyoncé gushed. "She looks so beautiful. It's incredible to be able to share it with her.
"And I think she looks so incredible."
Analysing last night's appearances, however, human behaviour expert Inbaal Honigman came to the conclusion that Blue Ivy hadn't actually been feeling as confident as she looked.
Speaking exclusively to Tyla in collaboration with Casino.org US, she revealed of the 14-year-old: "Her poses are polished, she’s clearly been practising specific moves, as her lowered chin and hands-on-hips are meant to look mature and confident.

"But soon Blue Ivy is seen fiddling with her jacket, she’s also glancing nervously from side to side. Blue’s nervous fidgeting gives her away, and she’s not quite the mature, confident lady she’d like to portray."
When it comes to the possible reason behind Blue Ivy's hesitant mannerisms, it may well be down to the confusion she sparked on the evening after breaking a major Met Gala rule.
After the youngster took to the red carpet, one onlooker on X asked, "Thought you had to be 18 to attend?"
Another noted: "Not them breaking the 18+ rule for BLUE IVY."
"Yk how huge it is that they let blue ivy come to the met considering no one under 18 is allowed," a third continued.

A fourth added: "The met gala has just broken their strict age restriction of only 18 & older for Blue Ivy Carter!"
While it may not be the rule anymore, a Met Gala spokesperson confirmed in 2018 - when the theme was 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination' - that the event is 'it's not an appropriate event for people under 18'.
I guess you make an exception for the Queen's offspring?
