Mandy Moore has been defended by fans after the internet bizarrely became convinced that she looks completely different.
Now, we all know that Hollywood has a strange obsession with not letting women age and this is a classic example.
The 41-year-old singer and actress has found herself at the centre of a heated debate after new photos of her began circulating on social media. The pictures in question were taken on September 26th on the red carpet at Step Up's 2025 Inspiration Awards in Los Angeles, California.
Mandy was sporting a chic satin long-sleeved top and a black leather skirt, with a pop of red lipstick to add colour to her look.

However, some people seem to think she looks entirely different and have been left baffled by the photos, taking to social media to question whether it's really her.
One Twitter user penned: "Honest question … are we sure this is her?"

While a second wrote: "I’m sorry but has anyone else seen MANDY MOORE lately?!!?!?! This is so far from her face assigned at birth????"

And others chimed in with: "It’s truly shocking" and "I refuse to believe this is her wtf."
A fifth person dramatically wrote: "Not this made me gasp out loud".
And another agreed: "What in the WHAT is going on in Hollywood? Who is that? That is NOT Mandy Moore."
However, thankfully, fans have rushed to the singer's defence and pointed out that we shouldn't really be commenting on women's looks - we have no idea what she's going through, and also, she's allowed to not look the same for her entire life.

Someone wrote: "Before judging her and attacking her looks we don’t know health wise what she may be going through."
While a second agreed: "Everyone is always slamming on woman’s looks. I think she looks beautiful and happy.

And a third said: "That’s not a new look. That’s her just getting older, thinner and not using any Botox. Still beautiful though."

Others chimed in with: "God forbid women age" and "I think you should all leave her alone. @mandymooremm you’re beautiful!"
"Guys she put on lipstick and lost 3 pounds, calm down. This should not be news. People change. Don't you have something better to talk about?," questioned another baffled fan.
And another defended her by pointing out: "She could be going through health issues. Enough with the Ozempic comments. I hope she's alright."
While someone else sarcastically aded: "OMG SHE AGED. Let’s see some of you post a photo of yourself 10 years ago and today. Let’s see how you look."

It's been a tough year for Mandy, whose home was tragically destroyed by the LA fires in January.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: "Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I'm in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family."
