Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin have finally gone public with their relationship and have revealed their one regret about dating.

Brenda, 36, and Mack, 44, were both child stars in their own right.

With Macaulay being the face of the best Christmas film in the world, Home Alone and Brenda playing the hilarious London Tipton in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, the pair are no strangers to hard work or navigating privacy within the limelight.

So, when it came out that the pair were together in 2017, people were shocked to say the least.

Considering the pair have been mega private about their life together, and only just opened up about why they’re not married, it only sparked interest in their unlikely pairing.

As it turns out, the couple first met in 2014 at actor Seth Green’s house after a sitcom that both Brenda and Seth worked on was cancelled.

The show, Dads was short lived on FOX’s network, and while the pair were there, so was Mack, who was sleeping over.

As he tried to lighten the mood and poke fun at their situation, Brenda revealed that it didn’t exactly turn her on.

In fact, it did the opposite.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan, she said: “He was trying to be funny about our show being canceled and I was not having it.”

According to the couple, she kept shooting him dirty looks until he left, with Mack stating: “She was thoroughly unimpressed by me is what I will say.”

However, the pair would go on to meet again in 2017 to film Changeland thanks to Seth, and as Brenda hadn’t dated in two years and had even frozen her eggs, she wasn’t looking for love.

But it slowly crept up on her.

They started playing gin rummy during their time off shooting and a friend noticed how interested Brenda seemed to be in him, and said to her: “If you’re going to ever have a fling, Mack is a safe person.”

Well, a fling it was not.

The pair ended up getting together unofficially, and soon after they had two children and got engaged.

“I’d never felt this way before,” Mack said. “I believed in her. I mean, I believed in people before, but I believed in her down to my bone marrow. You know what I mean? I put it behind the armor though, behind that shield.”

However, their relationship isn’t without regrets.

According to the couple, their only regret is that it took them so long to find each other.

Mack said: “It took me, what, 37 years? 36 years?”

“But it wouldn’t have happened any other way,” Brenda quipped back.

“No, but if I met you 10 years earlier...” Mack retorted.

Then simultaneously they said: “We would’ve hated each other.”

When the pair met, Brenda shared that she was going through things, stating: “When I met Mack, there was so much more of me that I hadn’t figured out.

"He made me such a bigger person and I was like, Oh my god. I didn’t realize that there were so many things I didn’t know about myself.”

Now, they’re in it for the long haul.
