Love Island All Stars cast surprised with 'huge twist' as Maya Jama makes shocking announcement

The brand new ITV dating series has officially kicked off

It's nearly time for the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars to officially launch on our screens, and already ITV producers have a plot twist up their sleeves for us.

During tonight's (Monday 15 Jan) debut episode - fronted by bombshell hostess Maya Jama - 12 former islanders will in the South African villa for their second chance at finding romance.

Amongst those appearing in the dating show love-shack this year is Hannah Elizabeth, who starred in the first ever series back in 2015.

She'll be joined by fellow Season 1 alum Luis Morrison - who since leaving the show welcomed a daughter with his co-star Cally Jane Beech before they split.

Georgia Harrison - famed for having ruffled feathers on the third series back in 2017 - will also be making an appearance, alongside 2018's most 'loyal' star Georgia Steele.

Scottish bodybuilder Anton Danyluk - who exited the 2019 villa with now ex-girlfriend, Belle Hassan - is also looking for love once again, as is his fifth series co-star and Barbie actor, Chris Taylor.

The series will see former contestants (including Georgia Harrison, left, and Demi Jones, right) trying to find love again.

Demi Jones - who became a Love Island fan-favourite back in 2020 - after appearing on the first ever winter series - is also hoping to find Mr Right.

There are also numerous former pals from the 2021 series, including Kaz Kamwi and Toby Aromolaran, as well as bitter exes Liberty Poole and Jack Cornish, who will be reuniting live on screen.

Lastly, fresh out of last summer's series is chaos-causer Mitchell Taylor, who is hoping to find his other-half.

And over the course of the next eight weeks, each lonely-heart contestants will battle it out amid brutal re-coupling ceremonies until they find their someone special.

Tonight's episode will include a major plot twist.

As mentioned, producers of the hit ITV series will be kicking off the 2024 star-studded series with a MAJOR plot twist.

According to a teaser sent out by producers, host Maya will line up the love-hungry contestants before telling the girls to each stand beside the boy they fancy the most.

"It doesn’t matter if more than one of you stands next to the same boy, but you have to make your decision right now. Off you go!" the 29-year-old presenter beams.

And apparently, the majority of the ladies flock towards one particular hunk - though the identity of whom hasn't yet been revealed.

It is then that Maya unveils the real cliff-hanger...

The public will decide which contestants will couple up.

"The decision of who you couple up with is not down to any of you; it is down to the public," she explains.

"They have already voted for who will couple up with who, and I will be back later tonight to reveal the results of the public vote."

We can't get enough already!
