Lisa Rinna debuts dramatic new transformation as fans can’t get over bold detail
Lisa Rinna has turned heads at the 2026 MTV VMA awards by debuting a shocking hair transformation and donning a striking moulded dress.
The 63-year-old actress and reality TV star has pulled out all the stops while walking the turquoise carpet at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater ahead of the iconic awards ceremony on Sunday (27 September).
She stepped out in a dramatic white optical illusion naked-look dress, which featured a plunging corset that seems to have been moulded to her body, and a long skirt with a hip-high slit.
The Days of Our Lives actress also showed off her brand-new hairstyle, having swapped her usual brunette locks for a bleached blonde look.

She finished off the striking look with smoky eyeshadow, white platform heels, and diamond earrings.
Fans have been left divided over the attention-grabbing look, with some viewers 'loving it' and others not quite so sure.
One X user penned: "So random but she looks tf good!" but a second brutally added: "I really hate this style of dress. End this trend."
A third wrote: "Lisa Rinna knows how to make an entrance. She’s looking absolutely stunning."
A fourth questioned: "A muscle nipple dress?" while a fifth chimed in with: "Lisa Rinna ate the VMAs carpet UP, I fear... like mother is MOTHERING at her big age??"
A sixth harshly penned: "These kinds of dresses are out of style find something new."
The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
Hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg for the first time, the show is streaming live on CBS in the US and simulcast on MTV.
This year, the awards ceremony has returned to the West Coast of America for the first time in nine years, as the VMAs usually pick locations in New York or New Jersey.
As for who’s in the running for awards, Madonna bagged the most nominations - 11 - including for video of the year for Confessions II - The Film, artist of the year, and song of the year for ‘Bring Your Love’.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has nine nods, including artist of the year, and is being honoured with the first-ever award for artist director.
In a press release, the broadcasters said the artist director honour is a ‘new award recognising groundbreaking music artists whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music video and advanced the art of visual storytelling’.
The 36-year-old singer made her solo directorial debut in 2020 with the video for her Lover single ‘The Man,’ which won her best direction at the MTV VMAs that year.
The next year she made her filmmaking debut with All Too Well: The Short Film, which won VMAs for video of the year, best long-form video and best direction.
Madonna and Swift are followed by Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter with seven nods each, as well as Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson with five.
Meanwhile, Nirvana are also being honoured with the Video Vanguard award.
