Lisa Rinna has been taken a lot of heat over her looks lately.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to social media to address her critics.

This came after her followers were constantly remarking on her appearance, asking if she'd gotten a 'new face' or undergone any beauty enhancements.

The 60-year-old laid out the truth about her looks in an Instagram Story.

She wrote: "Be aware... You guys don't use skinvive don't let any injectors say to you that it's going to just make your skin glowing and hydrated, they claim it's not going to add any volume, It absolutely adds volume!

"It added volume on me. I didn't want that. Luckily we could dissolve it today. Whew."

Back in January, Lisa was shown getting the procedure done in a TikTok video uploaded by aesthetic practitioner Francine Queen of Threads.

As per Allergan Aesthetics, SkinVive is a 'modified hyaluronic acid gel that’s injected as intradermal microdroplets below the surface of the skin, increasing hydration to improve cheek smoothness'.

In the video, Francince disclosed that Rinna did not want to 'add any more volume' to her face.

She then showed the before and after, writing: "Lisa Rinna's trick to staying fresh as a daisy."

Lisa's youthful look had been noted in several recent red carpet appearances.

She was analysed by TikToker Nicole Smith, who works as an aesthetic physician assistant.

Nicole said: "The key with doing dermal fillers or Botox is to maintain your youthful look. Not to alter and change your appearance.

"They placed too much filler in the cheeks and midface. It completely throws off the full facial balance. With good injection techniques, your results should be undetectable."

Lisa herself even commented on the video: "Skinvive is not for everyone, and it was not good for me. Luckily we could dissolve it today. Whew."

Beyond the extra help she got from procedures like SkinVive, Lisa credits her age-defying looks to her lifestyle.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan, the reality star said: "I've been really fortunate to get to 60 and be healthy, knock on wood.

"I keep a very moderate lifestyle. I've worked out since I was 16 years old. I live in moderation, even though it seems like I live very loudly and largely.

"I get my rest. I eat mostly healthy. I'm moderate. I don’t go crazy with anything.

"So there’s no silver bullet. There’s nothing that I’m super challenged with."

Lisa isn't the first celebrity to express regrets about getting some work done.

Friends star Courteney Cox has been open on her regrets about getting fillers done.

Speaking on the Gloss Angeles podcast in March last year, she said: "Thinking I was getting older when I was really young, that's just a bummer, a waste of time; it's a domino effect, it's like you don't realise that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more cause you look normal to yourself."
