Kieran Culkin expecting third child after exposing wife’s unusual promise at Emmys

Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton already share a son and a daughter

Congratulations are in order for Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton, who are expecting their third baby!

The 42-year-old Succession star and Charton, 37, appeared to announce the exciting news while walking the red carpet on the opening night of Waiting For Godot in New York City on Sunday (28 September).

Culkin beamed as he rested his hand on his wife's stomach, seemingly letting the world know they are expecting.

The couple got married back in 2013 and are already parents to two youngsters - daughter Kinsey, six, and son Wilder, four.

The actor previously told The Hollywood Reporter how the pair simply bumped into one another at a bar in New York in 2012 - talk about rom-com!

And in a 2018 interview with iNews, he also recalled the moment he first laid eyes on his future wife.

"I asked if he was her boyfriend, and when she said "no", I asked if I could be her boyfriend. We’ve been together ever since," he said. "When someone is as beautiful as my wife, you just want to be close to that."

And now, the happy couple are adding to their growing family as they reportedly have baby number three on the way.

Fans will remember Culkin made a pretty wild promise at both the Emmy Awards in 2024 and the Oscars this year - and it seems like he's stuck to it.

During the Oscars ceremony on 2 March, the actor took home the gong for Best Supporting Actor following his performance alongside Jesse Eisenberg in A Real Pain - marking his first Oscar.

He went up against a slew of other talented nominees - Yura Borisov for Anora, Edward Norton for A Complete Unknown, Guy Pearce for The Brutalist and his Succession co-star Jeremy Strong for his role in The Apprentice.

However, it was his winning speech that left everyone surprised.

Giving a shoutout to his wife after bagging the win, the actor said: "I love you Jazz. I have to thank my wife Jazz for absolutely everything, for giving me my favourite people in the world."

He went on to ask: "Please don't play the music because I want to tell a really quick story about Jazz."

The actor then explained: "About a year ago, I was on a stage like this, and I very stupidly publicly said that I want a third kid from her, because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid."

"People came up to her and were like really annoying her. I think it got to her. But anyway, after the show, we're walking through a parking lot.

"She's holding the Emmy. We're trying to find our car."

Giving someone a shout-out from home, he added: "Emily, you were there so you're a witness, and she goes, 'Oh, God, I did say that. I guess I owe you a third kid.' And I turned to her, and I said, 'Really, I want four.'"

The audience then burst into laughter, before Culkin continued: "And she turned to me, I swear to God, this happened. It was just over a year ago. She said, 'I will give you four when you win an Oscar.'

"I held my hand out. She took it, and I have not brought it up once, until just now. You remember that, honey, you do?"

He then continued: "Okay, then I just have this to say to you, Jazz, love of my life…No pressure. I love you.

"I'm really sorry I did this again, and let's get cracking on those kids. What do you say?"

It follows his winning Emmys speech from last year, in which Culkin said: "'Thank you for sharing your life with me and for giving me two amazing kids. Kinsey Sioux and Wilder Wolf, I love you so much."

The actor then added, "And Jazz - I want more. You said maybe, if I win. I love you so much.'"

Well, it looks like he got his wish!
