Kieran Culkin explains why he hasn't met brother Macaulay Culkin's new baby yet

Kieran Culkin explains why he hasn't met brother Macaulay Culkin's new baby yet

The actor opened up about why he is yet to meet his own nephew

Kieran Culkin, the brother of Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, has explained exactly why he's yet to meet the latest addition to the Culkin family tree.

Macauley and his fiancée, Brenda Song, welcomed their second baby last week (17 March) joining son Dakota, who is now 23-months-old.

However, Kieran - who has two small children of his own with wife Jazz Charton - has not yet made a visit to see his newborn nephew and has since admitted why he's yet to 'figure' it out.

"Well, the cousins live in Los Angeles, we live in New York," he told Access Hollywood at the fourth season premiere of Succession on Monday (20 March).

He continued: "I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and as busy as I am, there is no getting on a plane and going."

The actor then added: "I haven't met number two yet and they haven't met my number two yet either because we just haven't been able to figure that out."

Kieran and his wife Jazz Charton got hitched back in 2013 and are now parents to daughter, Kinsey, 3 and 19-month-old son Wilder.

Even though his current work on the HBO series has taken him every which way - including Italy and the UK - Kieran has revealed that he can usually be found 'at home with my wife and kids'.

While Kieran and Jazz have spoken about home life a fair bit, Macauley and Brenda seem to be the exact opposite when it comes to family matters.

The couple, who got engaged just over a year ago after dating for four years, have been fairly private about their private lives, with Brenda revealing: "My fiancée and I are very hands-on," via The Cut.

"We don't have a nanny, but my mom has been here with us since my son was born. When I was working, my mom would bring my son to set so I could breastfeed and see him during the day," she continued.

"Being communicative when you need help is so important,."

Mum of the year award or what?

Brenda has also highlighted the importance of communication when starting this new chapter in life.

She said: "I think when you and your partner have kids, especially the first few months, you don't have the patience to be polite with each other.

"Being communicative when you need help is so important," the mum-of-two added.

Well, hopefully, Kieran will be able to find some time soon to finally meet the brand-new addition to the Culkin family.
