Justin Bieber has been candid regarding his battle with drug addiction, previously revealing how security guards had to 'check his pulse' every evening to make sure he was 'still breathing'.
Last month, the 31-year-old returned to music with the surprise record 'Swag', the singer's first full-length LP since 2021's Justice.
The 21-track record saw the 'Baby' hitmaker's wife, Hailey Bieber, 28, and their son Jacks Blues - who turns one later this month - featuring heavily in the album's promotion, with the pair posing for pictures alongside Justin.

But according to Hailey, she and her husband of almost seven years were 'never really in each other's lives' before he 'came off drugs'.
She made the claim during the 2020 Justin Bieber: Seasons docuseries, in which Justin also revealed his struggle with substance abuse.

"I felt like I was like, like, bro, I was like, dying," he said. "My security and stuff were coming into the room at night to check my pulse - like people don't know how serious it got, like it was legit crazy scary."

The 'Peaches' hitmaker then went on to share that he would wake up in the morning and the 'first thing' he would do would be 'popping a pill' and 'smoking a blunt' before 'starting the day', adding: "So it just got scary."
Justin went on to explain exactly how he changed things around, recalling: "I basically said to myself: 'God, if you're real, you get me through this season of stopping these pills and stuff, and if you do, I'll do the rest of the work', and then I did that, and then I was good from there."
He went on to confess that he 'never did the actual work', adding: "I got off the pills, but I never went to the root of everything."
In a 2019 interview with Vogue, the star shared how he used drugs as a coping mechanism.
"Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing," he shared. "It got pretty dark. I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing."

He also told the publication that he'd made some 'bad decisions' in his past, with the mistakes affecting his confidence and his judgement.
In February, a representative of Justin denied allegations that he had been using drugs again after a snap of the father-of-one walking down the street in New York went viral.

They told Rolling Stone that both Justin and his wife have said the public's obsession over his mental and physical health is 'exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive'.

The reps added that the last year was 'very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him'.
Tyla reached out to Justin Bieber's reps at the time for further comment.
