Actor Josh Duhamel 51, welcomes first child with wife Audra, 30

The pair took to Instagram to share the news

American actor Josh Duhamel has just welcomed his first child with his wife Audra Mari.

The Safe Haven star, 51, tied the knot with the former Miss World contestant back in 2022 and now, two years later, the pair have entered a new chapter and have started a family together.

While this is Josh's first child with Audra, 30, it is his second child in total as he shares an older son, 10-year-old Axl with his first wife, Fergie, 48.

He and The Black Eyed Peas singer got hitched in 2009 but went on to split some eight years later in 2017, with the divorce being finalised in 2019.

Josh and Audra uploaded a shared Instagram post earlier today (17 January) where they shared with their fans the arrival of the newborn along with tot's name.

They posted a black and white photo of the baby's little tootsies alongside the caption which revealed what the decided to call the baby.

The parents shared the moniker they had settled on was 'Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel' with the caption also sharing when Shepherd was born: "1/11/24," alongside a heart emoji tagging the photographer, Hanri Human.

Audra also took to her Instagram Story to share further updates, with one post showing a black and white close-up shot of little Shepherd's hands writing: "He's here."

Fans were quick to congratulate the happy couple with one Instagram user writing: "Adore! I was wondering if there was news with you guys! Congratulations! Love the name & hope you all are well! Enjoy this special time!"

A second commented: "Awwww!! Can’t get over him!! Such a beautiful boy! Congrats guys!"

"Omg. Those feet. Congrats to you both and big brother, Axl!" penned a third.

And a fourth gushed: "Ahhhhhh sweet baby and beautiful name. Congratulations everyone! What a blessing your new baby is.

"He's got wonderful, loving parents and a great big brother to teach him lots of fun stuff. Hope momma is feeling well! Can't wait for more photos!"

Another Instagram user echoed: "So happy for you guys!! Welcome baby Shepherd!!"

"Omg!!! I am SO happy for you both!!! What a wonderful blessing!!" chimed in a sixth while a seventh added: "Congratulations! Those little feet! I am so happy for your beautiful family!"

Fergie was also keen to share her excitement over the happy news too, writing: "I am truly happy for you guys. Axl can’t wait to be a big brother."
