Josh Duhamel has opened up about the moment he realised he was 'officially too old' for his wife, Audra Mari, and it's not gone down well with fans.
The Ransom Canyon star, 53, spoke about the couple's 21-year age gap during a recent appearance on The HoneyDew With Ryan Sickler podcast, explaining that it only really hit him after looking at an old family photo.
Duhamel recalled his younger sister Kassidy being born while he was 21 and playing football at Minot State University.
"Kassidy came along ... and I was playing football at Minot State University. Go Beavers! Warming up on the sideline," he said. "And I remember looking up at the stands, and I see my mum and [she] has this bump.

I was 21 years old ... and she’s having another baby. And I was like, 'Oh my god, you gotta be kidding me!' So, now we love it."
Years later, Duhamel said he came across a picture of himself holding his newborn sister, before making a surprising comparison.
"I looked at the photo, and I looked at my wife, and I said, 'You know, you and Kassidy are exactly the same age.'"
Laughing, he continued: "Is that a highlight or a lowlight? I’m not sure," before adding that he told Mari, "'Ooof, I am officially too old for you' ... They’re literally like months apart in age. I never looked at it like that until I saw that photo. I was like, 'Wait a second.'"
The actor and former Miss World America married in 2022 after four years together.
He and Mari, 32, welcomed a son, Shepherd Lawrence, in January 2024 and a daughter, Rocca de Leon, earlier this year in May.
Duhamel tied the knot with Audra Mari in 2022 and the pair have since welcomed two children (Instagram/@audramari) Duhamel also shares a son, Axl Jack, with his ex-wife Fergie, 51.
While Duhamel appeared to be sharing the story as a joke, the comparison between his wife and younger sister didn't land well with everyone online, with many finding the remark odd given the couple's 21-year age difference.
"So we're all making the same face, right?" penned one Instagram user.
A second declared: "Men will do anything except date someone their own age."
"What exactly is funny about this? Someone, please explain," urged a third as a fourth chimed in: "That’s weird, not funny."
Another echoed: "He realised AFTER marrying her. Okay."
And a final Instagram user added: "Lowlight. It is definitely a lowlight."
