Trump supporters are condemning Jimmy Kimmel for a series of controversial remarks he made last night about Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk's suspected shooter.
On Wednesday (10 September), 31-year-old Kirk was fatally shot whilst hosting a rally at Utah Valley University. In the midst of answering a question about gun violence in the States, a single shot was fired through Kirk's neck.
Though the right-wing activist was rushed to the hospital, President Donald Trump later confirmed that he had died.
Two days after, authorities announced that Tyler Robinson, 22, had been arrested, and yesterday (16 September), he received seven charges, including aggravated murder.

In the days that followed, Trump ordered that all US federal flags be flown at half‑staff in Kirk's honour. Taking to Truth Social several times, he also described the political activist as 'tremendous', a 'martyr for truth and freedom'.
He even issued a threat to anyone 'celebrating' the podcaster's death.

As we say, however, the politician's latest response to the incident has been addressed by TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel.

Appearing on his live show last night (16 September), the star began by playing a clip of the President being asked by a reporter outside of the White House how he was 'holding up' in the wake of Kirk's death.
In the clip, Trump responds with, 'I think very good', before changing the subject to the Oval Office's plush renovations, all within the same breath.
"And by the way, right there you see all the trucks," he continued. "They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they’ve been trying to get for about 150 years. And it's gonna be a beauty.
"It'll be an absolutely magnificent structure."

A stark contrast to the highly emotive remarks he made immediately following Kirk's killing, Trump's latest comments were criticised by Kimmel.

"He’s at the fourth stage of grief: construction," the 57-year-old comedy star joked. "This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?"
Kimmel's critiques didn't end there, however.

He then went on to play a clip of Trump chatting with Fox News last week, where he responded to a question about Kirk's assassination with an answer about his upcoming White House ballroom.
"Oh, when I heard [about Kirk’s shooting]? I was in the midst of building a great... for 150 years, they’ve wanted a ballroom at the White House," he continued.
Commenting on his reaction, Kimmel once again hit out: "There’s something wrong with him, there really is. Who thinks like that?"

Kimmel also commented on Robinson, adding: "We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."
Officials have not confirmed the 22-year-old's political affiliation, though Utah Governor Spencer Cox claimed Robinson was 'deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology, ' claiming this information was from his family and friends (via BBC).
Unsurprisingly, several critics have since voiced their criticism, as one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "I hope this ends his career."
Another added: "That guy is such a moron," while a third defended Trump's response, adding: "When someone tries to talk to me about something that could make me cry uncontrollably I will attempt to redirect the conversation. I can’t be the only one."
And a fourth called his remarks 'absolutely disgusting'.
LADbible Group has contacted Kimmel's representatives for comment.
