Jennifer Aniston’s co-star Alec Baldwin described kissing her in famous scene as ‘painful’

In a world where kissing people on screen is your job, TV actors seem to be pros at keeping hush about what they think about smooching co-stars, but that didn't stop Alec Baldwin speaking out on his ‘painful’ experience with Jennifer Aniston.

So, you’re probably wondering where the two got together to be able to kiss during a show, but you might not remember Aniston's hilarious cameo back in 2008.

While Baldwin famously appeared in one episode of Friends as Phoebe’s overtly annoying boyfriend, there was another time the two actors crossed paths.

This was for Baldwin’s hit TV show with Tina Fey, 30 Rock.

The show focused on TV writers in New York who are equally as hilarious and completely bonkers, and Aniston’s short-lived character was no different.

Playing Claire, a friend of Fey’s Liz Lemon who becomes obsessed with Baldwin’s Jack Donaghy, Aniston's character quickly ramps up her crazy plans to get him alone.

In one of those instances, she tricks Lemon into thinking she’s coming out for a night on the town, but instead, she’s broken into Donaghy’s apartment, cooked him a ‘white pizza’ and chucked on a whole sexy maid outfit.

The scene is pretty hilarious, and even though the stalker element is creepy and shouldn’t lead to a smooch, it does.

This moment for Baldwin is something he told New York Magazine was ‘painful’, and went on to express how he doesn’t understand how other people can kiss Aniston either.

In talk with New York Magazine, Baldwin seemingly joked about having to make out with her.

He shared: "I mean, every man who's had to make out with [Aniston] in TV and movies — I don't know how they do it."

Even though it sounds harsh, it was meant as a joke as he had nothing but praise for her just days later when speaking to People Magazine.

He called it ‘the greatest day of [his] life’, as reported by Just Jared.

When asked about what it’s like to work with the pro actress, he explained that ‘she's a doll.’

He shared that her choice to join the cast for the episode was a great thing for everyone.

He said: "Jennifer is obviously someone who has a lot of things she could be doing with her time.

“And for her to take time to come be with us, I'm very, very grateful."

For her part, Aniston actually went on to get an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series the year after for her role and called it ‘fate’ to appear on the show when speaking to The New York Times.

But it’s not the first time Aniston has had her on-screen kiss labelled as painful or even ‘torture’.

Well, this was actually in reference to a sex scene, but actor Jake Gyllenhaal revealed what it was like to be intimate with her during filming The Good Girl (2002), which saw him step into the shoes of his character Thomas 'Holden' Worther who has an affair with Aniston's character, Justine Last.

The actor said in an appearance on The Howard Stern Show: "[Filming the sex scene] was torture, yes it was. But it was also not torture. I mean, come on, it was like a mix of both.

"Weirdly, love scenes are awkward, because there are maybe 30, 50 people watching it? Maybe if you have a closed set, it's less? That doesn’t turn me on."

He actually had a crush on her which is what made it worse for him.
