Jack Osbourne recalls one final moment with dad Ozzy as he gives emotional update on mum Sharon

The son of the late Ozzy Osbourne has shared heartfelt memories of his late dad in a new interview

Jack Osbourne has revealed a heartfelt moment he shared with his dad Ozzy, just 17 days before he died.

The Black Sabbath frontman tragically passed away aged 76 on July 22, with his cause of death announced as cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

He left behind his wife of four decades Sharon, with whom he also shared three children - Aimee, 42, Kelly, 40, and Jack, 39.

And now, Jack has shared a recent memory that he has of his dad from Black Sabbath's farewell concert in Ozzy's hometown of Birmingham, which took place on July 5 at Villa Park.

Ozzy had battled numerous health issues throughout his life, but was determined to get on stage one final time to say goodbye to his dedicated fanbase.

The crowd was in tears, and his family were visibly emotional as they cheered him on from the sidelines.

Recalling the moments before the gig began, Jack broke down in tears as he told Good Morning America: "Before he went onstage, I ran back into the dressing room and I just gave him a big hug. I just kissed him. I just said, 'Crush it. You're gonna do so good'."

He said that he and his brother, Ozzy's son Louis Osbourne from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley, were unable to hold back their emotions as they watched on proudly.

The reality TV star said: "We both were just crying, it wasn't because of feeling sorry for him. It wasn't because we were sad for him.

"I think it was because we knew it was the last time. In hindsight, it kind of was a living wake, you know, if you think about it. He got to say goodbye to everyone."

During the interview, Jack also gave fans an update on how his mum Sharon is getting on following the devastating loss, after she was seen in floods of tears during his funeral procession.

He admitted: "You know, when people have been asking me that question, I say, 'She's OK, but she's not OK.

"I know she feels the love. I think that has been at a level that none of us could really, every child sits there and kind of has this thought about one day that parents won't be there, and what will that be like."

He continued: "It's just a part of being human. We just didn't think of it. It was a different weight to it, you know?"

The interview comes just after ow, a new feature-length documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, was released on October 7, giving fans a look into unseen footage of the rock icon’s life over the past six years.

Speaking ahead of the final gig in the documentary, Ozzy teared up as he said: “I didn’t think I was gonna live past 40. I shouldn’t have lived past 40. But I did. And if my life’s coming to an end, I really can’t complain. I’ve had a great life.”

He added: "I’m nervous, it’s my last hoorah, so it’s gonna be pretty emotional going up there. "I just hope I don’t think of Sharon when I’m up there, or the f**king tears will start coming. We’ve done a lot of miles together me and my old girl.

"This is it, this is the last thing. And I’ve accepted it, you know.”
